Where is the thread about the Bird chair falling off?

Now that I have the time to read the details about the chair falling off one of one of the double chairs at the Bird this week, the thread is gone. What happened to it?

I talked to a patroller the day after it happened and he told me that it was a chair on Wilbere, there were two patrollers on it, it fell off the bullwheel at the top right after they stepped off the chair and nobody was hurt.

As I was riding the Tram up today, I was wondering what it would be like to ski North Chute in the red boat...

Yeah shit, I'm wondering why I haven't seen a thread about this mishap too. A chair fell off of Wilbere while it was running. Now they've shut down wilbere, peruvian, and Gad II until further notice. Seems like kind of a big deal. I heard these chairs were out for the season, does anybody have the scoop?

Damn that sucks ass that Gad II is down. At least nobody was hurt. That explains why Peruvian had no chairs on it yesterday...

they are retro-fitting the grip between the cable and chair on the doubles. they are trying to keep that quiet by saying that a chair just slid back, but the trollers know the truth. don't know when they'll be back up but it really sucks to ride that tram this weekend.

Interesting that a problem on Wilbere made them shut down all three of their double chairs. Are they all the same age or something?

I think that's the reason LC is still running. It's newer than the other lifts.

One of my friends who works their said that they also load tested or somehting with the other chairs and they failed, but who knows hopefully it back up soon.
Those lines today at the bird sucked but the snow was good.
If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

i was told that they didn't do the mandatory x-ray on the 10% of chairs this summer. also they say that they can't purchase the grips that fit that cable. the new ones fit a different size. can anyone confirm?

thats a big No-no. Im prettry sure they would have to lie to the inspector to get away with somthing like that. Doesnt seem like somthing any resort would not do. Did they have somthing better to do this summer?
