To those of you who haven't gotten any yet...

    skiing, that is.

I've been reading the board and watching ski porn for the majority of my thanksgiving break... I'm scared shitless to go mtn biking during deer season...especially with what just happened in WI.

What are you doing to stay sane?

    -and-

    What's your favorite ski porn?

(quietly)happy there's been little fresh elsewhere lately, Don't get me wrong, the stoke keeps me high as a deprived skier can be...
knowing there's so much season left everywhere!
    watching the rain fall
waiting for the temps to drop
thinking that if had been, oh, about 20 degrees cooler today we woulda had over 2 1/2 feet up there just today!!!!
looking at the water falls coming down the sides of the mountains and imagining that they're actually reall small ribbons of snow

yup, i've been hanging around here sporadically since the first clustertruck over at pmag where everything got trashed and some a-hole stole my name , and exclusively after the exodus under a couple different monikers...

...but none of them really felt right and i haven't been participating much.

Shit, I just passed a hunter Tuesday on my road bike. And it wasn't very rural at all. sheesh.

I just bought new skis. I've turned off the weather channel and stare at them.

    Torture

Of course it snows like a bitch as soon as I get home for thanksgiving. 8 inches isnt good for much when the biggest hill within 45 miles is a sand dune.

It is nice to see white outside though instead of brown.

Because that's probably what he's really doing. Either that or he's reading the "Johnny Irrelevant" strip from Viz

    And:
    Immersion
    Sinners

yep, I am a lurker. Ski movie dork too. Yesterday I watched: Sinners, Ski Your Ass Off, Schooled, Sleeping Giants, Immersion, UP3, and Core. I have a problem and it is a severe lack of snow, and our one trail of sortacorn is turning into a sniggle.

I've been able to keep myself occupied with Kite Boarding thru the first week of November which helps with the pre season blues. Since then I've watched way to much ski porn, booked a Cat Skiing trip for January, spent to much time lurking here reading all the TR's (thanks guys they really do help), and read all my old Powder Mags from the late 80's and early 90's.

Bought new super-stiff Burton step-in boots and bindings. Spent half a day mounting them. It should have taken about half an hour, but I was milking it.
I put on my ski boots and skis and walk around the basement. I call it PT. The kids say I'm just a dork.

Beyond that, I just spend a lot of time whining.

I go to PT a lot and desperately wish that it was late March already.
