I had a great day, but coma wasn't even the word for how I felt post-dinner.
I got up at 7, went to the gym, picked up the last couple things at the store and headed to Lexi's with a car full of groceries. I cooked 2 kinds of stuffing, turkey, cranberry relish, green bean casserole, pecan pies, rosemary potatoes, candied yams, and after about 5 hours straight of standing on my knee I started drinking a lot of spiked apple cider.
Anyway, it turned out to be the juciest turkey I've ever made - Yum!
Then we watched Blizzard of Aaahs and Aspen Extreme. At which point I figured I needed to head home if I was going to make it at all. So tired.
But we had a great time and I'm glad so many people made it over!
"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, "Wow, what a Ride!"
