slagg skied the southeast face of superior (the route most people ski in the winter), then at the bottom of the butterfly i had to do a rock traverse, to a sketch as hell ski traverse to suicide chute on skis and bindings from 1974 and no ice axe.

th yea my spancers r guna be pissed, especially because im bare ass and used old skis i should have put a million stickers all over my body so people would know im better than they are.

main was a great day. Smooth, shockingly consistent, chargable late season skiing in a favorite run. serious suncups outside of the chute. still able to ski to the parking lot with a little effort.

That's one good thing about a lot of traffic in Main, it's like a perma-groomer.

Ahhh so the rocks are really there on the left side eh? I wondered if we'd ever see them again.

Have you ever seen what little superior looks like in the summer? Loose nasty scree the whole way from top to bottom. I was on top of it a couple days ago and getting to halfway down looked like a huge pain in the ass.

as long as you have high tops on little superior is great way to descend. it shaves about an hour off hikes especially if your car is at the base from doing the s.ridge. its probably still faster even if your car is in the town.

but scree + gopro = no bueno

    The waterfall rap looked kewl.

But the best part is fighting invisible monsters, massive beater triage, and some pretty nice skiing.

    Nice vidy.

Slaag. I'll be back out Ute way on the 29th for about a week in case you're keeping track of dates. Not sure if I'll find ya but will look up Vail ridge or ask in the library. Was that your skis found on the tram dock?
