more importantly, they are worried about their own employees who are on the hill working - especially during low vis kind of days like yesterday. high boy ran to the very bottom traverse upon ski cut. patsy marley ran about 800-1000' wide starting at its lowest north bench to up past the movie screen. it ran to just past the summer road taking with it trees and rocks. seriously hope this was a natural and nobody is buried in it somewhere. the debri at the bottom of tanner's is more than impressive.
was out last night about the same time as spread eagle and found similar snow structure on north facing slopes. to only expound in detail, found a couple of interspersed layers of graupel (from mini bursts) with slightly heavier snow (most likely from the wind) that is all sitting on a few inches of lower density snow from the beginning of the event that I'm confident is what everything is running on.
sorry, meant to post this last night for those interested on what to look out for today, but never got around to it. hope everyone stays safe out there today. also, alta is open to uphill travel today for those that care.
