Just got an email from a friend of mine who recently arrived at Camp Uadiri Kuwait, leaves for Iraq in a couple weeks. Good to hear from him, but in the email there was something a bit disturbing. Apparently as part of their training, they are being told and taught to "look scary". Basically it sounds like they are being told the best defense against bombers, gunmen, and anything else is to look scary. Fucking ridiculous.

With him going over, I now have three friends over there... I hope they're all looking really fuckin' scary.

I know that along the North Korea/South Korea border the North Korean soldiers are taught to have an "aggressive" pose so they look scarier. They should be taught the so the Iraqi's think they are cool and will want to be just like them.
