Issued by the National Weather Service at 11:15 am CST on November 24, 2004
Light snow continues across north central Illinois with light rain occurring in northeast Illinois. This snow will spread into the Chicago area by 1 PM

and increase in intensity during the afternoon. It will remain blustery with winds gusting as high as 40 mph...especially near Lake Michigan. This snow will cause roads to become slick and slushy

so motorists need to allow for extra time to reach their destinations.
