It is totally tracked out, I wouldn't bother. It's going to be a total shitshow especially with it being a holiday weekend. Do yourself a favor and watch football all weekend.

I was going to say I'd meet up with you but I only ski with dudes that have penetrating blue eyes.

Totally forgot that it's a holiday weekend. My previous job had a tight grip on my balls and ski schedule but was image-conscious enough to give MLK Day off. This year, it completely flew over my head.

Don't have TV else I'd be watching football and getting drunk on the couch... which is exactly why I don't have TV.

If we ski tomorrow, it will be after the I-70 morning traffic.

I was going to say ~V~ and I would meet up with you but, alas, I have hauntingly deep brown eyes and while ~V~ has penetrating blue eyes, you only ski with dudes.

I only stated what my filter was for dudes. Women fall under a different ruleset

Anyone know in particular where the slide activity was? From CAIC:

"On Thursday there was a human triggered avalanche on a southeast facing slope near treeline on Berthoud Pass. The side was about a foot deep and less than 100 feet wide. Avalanche workers in the area also triggered avalanches with explosives on northeast and east facing above treeline slopes. These avalanches are wind slabs running on buried surface hoar."

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them and they wont have their shoes.

^ True that. Ill be there early on my way to steamboat. Hopefully the wind smooths it out and some new snow makes it soft.

First run i think is called lift gully? The pitch right next to that big cliff band on the other side of the road from the parking lot. Second clip is in current creek on the skiers left X chute of XYZ. Hard to explain since i really dont know the zones all that well but we will have to ski soon and share the goodies...

Skied a few runs in HHF and Floral Park today. 3-4" new, Floral was quite nice and reasonably soft underneath, HHF wasn't quite as good.

Out early today. Very busy when we wrapped things, but damn I was pleasantly surprised at the snow conditions. 6inches of blown in pow, nice temps and just a whisp of wind.

I might be driving down from Fort Collins tomorrow, but wont know for sure for a couple of hours. Depends if I get talked into going to the bars tonight.
A day of skiing is better than sitting on your ass wishing you had gone skiing.

Soylent - where'd you ski at CP today? Much new snow? We were there yesterday and good ski conditions were somewhat "elusive."

Looking at the forecast it seems like tuesday could be really good up there. Im planning on going for sure. However, looking at the Doppler on NOAA i dont see how they are expecting 6 to 10 inches today but i hope their right!

I didn't realize I was chatting with mags at the CC lot until I noticed the bros. We didn't get off the pass until around 1PM, it was puking snow up there.

We skied two runs up in CC and although I couldn't see shit because of the blowing snow, the turns felt great. Our skin track had completely disappeared after our first run as well as any tracks from the days before. Tomorrow is going to be good, but too bad I have class from 9-4. Stay safe up there.

Good chatting with you today. Glad you made it out of there. Just heard there's still a missing boarder up there and immediately thought of you guys.

Yeah I heard about missing boarder also. I was one of the last to leave the main parking lot. Only 2 or 3 cars left after my car and 2 others left about the same time. Hope the boarder is ok. CDOT was being super cool about getting us out of there. They are good peeps. Hope I can go up again tomorrow when it opens.
