    Diamir Springs?

I've got an old pair of Diamir Titanals that have the spring in the toe piece that snaps the binding back down to the ski. I was at the shop the other day looking at Freerides and noticed that they don't come with springs. Is there really any difference when touring? which is better springs or no springs? (too lazy to search for an answer)

I installed the springs in my Freerides. I guess they add a little friction, but they help snap the ski to the heel during kick turns so I like them. But the Dynafits have no need for a spring so you could argue either way ....

I've got two pairs of FRs, one with springs and one without. I spent a season on the springless pair, and occasionally got annoyed during kick turns, backing up, or in a tight spot. I put springs on the second pair this year, and like it alot better. So I dig 'em.

Yup springs rool. I suck at kick turns w/o them, which is the only reason I chose freerides over naxos.

Don't really notice a huge difference. They work better for longer skis on kick turns, but that's about it. Doesn't hurt to throw 'em on.

i have lost springs and not even noticed until i got half way through the day. a set is $10 but the bd warranty deptartment might hook you up if you are local. i don't care much either way but they do help control the ski in a kick turn.
