best ski resort for taking a poo

Snowbasin takes this, hands down. I'm not sure who decided marble floors for wet ski-booted customers was a good idea, but it sure looks nice.

Plus, they have a big moose.

No doubt, Snowbasin wins. The crapper was so nice, I almost took by "deposit" back becasue I felt bad defacing such a nice place (I figured I could just take it to Park Shitty and throw it in any of the parking lots like the rest of the masses do).

For the last two years (living in Ogden) I would make the arduous twenty minute trek to the hallowed halls of Snowbasin's comfy crappers with my Sunday Salt Lake Tribune in tow.

If I had to work early on Sunday afternoons and the conditions sucked, I'd skip skiing, and forsake my own tainted toilet to lay cable in a bowl of higher stature. Close those doors and the whole world fades out. A man could spend some quality time with his paper and morning coffee without worrying.

Crystal Mountain base lodge has to be at the top of the list for absolute worst smelling, nauseating bathrooms in the ski world. A clothes pin won't save you from almost gagging there each morning. Must be something in the WA coffee...

cant think of a best but definitely my worst was in cervinia. the italian porcelin squat hole style. talk about difficult with your boots on! you gotta do that lean thing against he back wall and then hope your feet don't slide out from under you.

i prefer an eco-friendly outdoor poo. feed a tree!

I'm probably wrong in doing it but I bury it. Not 6 inches underground, but like a foot or so below the snow cover. And, I try and do it under/near a tree.

As for the crappers thing......I found this sweet hide-a-way bathroom at Copper once. Every time I've ever gone in there no one is there. Complete solitude to drop my duece.

I have often thought that it would be a great advantage if ski areas had taller than average toilets. I'ts easier to pinch a loaf in alpine boots if you are sitting higher up.

Don't you hate it when your ass is sweaty-wet and cold at the same time, and the TP sticks to your butt cheaks like glue when you are attempting the in-the-boots-lean-to-the-side-reach-around-wipe-without-falling move?

The key to ski area pooping: Wait if you have to, 'till the handicap stall way at the end is open. It is the executive shitter for sure. Plenty of room to spread out and relax, and yes, take your shirt off; or all of your clothes, if you want to. Plus the bar is helpfull when wiping if the floor is wet.

Alright, I need to know which ski area has the best shitters. Due to my severe IBS, I base my ski vacations on the resort that has the best:

*TP density
*Heights of doors
*Access (a big one)
*Flush Pressure
*Bowls per skier per hour


All other factors are out, ie, snow, steeps, brews, access to airports

so where is the best place to drop a duki



Note; I finally don't ski with depends on! I'm making big steps.

I have crapped in Steins, Silverlake AND Deer Valley base village and none of them can compare to Snowbasin's base lodge, nor scamming into the St Regis batrhrooms in Aspen.

I pooed at whatever the lodge is at mid-mountain. It was pretty shwank, though from the sound of it, I might have to make the trip up to Snowbasin to compare.

I will also vote for Snowbasin. I had my morning coffe and one of their fine chocolate covered apple fritters (also deluxe) walked around a bit and then found the finest washroom in all of skiingness. So much better than my home or anyones I know. Then I went to stand by the cool big mooseto wait for Meats all clean and ready to go. This place just has it all.
