    Um, Red Baron, weekend forecasts are supposed to get better as you get closer to the weekend.
    Huh? You know something I don't?

    We're still on track for a good Thursday/Thursday night/Friday morning storm, the weekend one is still changing with every computer model run, el nino years make storms do all kinds of funky things...

    Today: Increasing clouds with a chance of snow in the afternoon. Highs at 8000 feet around 30. Chance of snow 50 percent.

    Just found this little tidbit of info in the forecast discussion tonight... Thought it might interest some...

    OVERALL CURRENT FORECAST RIGHT ON TRACK WITH THE NEW ETA GUIDANCE. A SOLID SNOW ADVISORY EVENT (CLOSE TO WARNING AMOUNTS) FOR MOUNTAINS AND MOST VALLEYS OF UTAH. OVERNIGHT SHIFT WILL ISSUE THE HIGHLIGHTS. 36 HOUR TOTALS AROUND 2 FEET FOR THE HIGHER NORTHERN SKI RESORTS... AROUND A FOOT FOR THE 6000 TO 7000 FOOT LEVEL AND LESSER BUT SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS FOR THE ADJACENT VALLEYS. RAIN RESTRICTED TO THE FAR SOUTHERN PORTIONS AND LOWEST ELEVATIONS.

    Get ready for some storm skiing!
