Wednesday will see high snow levels and tons of rain in the mountains. Expect snow levels to be 7000-8000ft. Ahhh, I hate when that happens. But don't worry as a cold front will move in by late Wednesday into Thanksgiving Day and that will bring the snow level down to 3000ft. I love when that happens.
Expect low snow levels continuing Thursday into the weekend. Unfortunately it won't snow enough to open the slopes, at least initially. I think we'll pick up several inches of new everyday into Sunday, but slowly a dry pattern developing. Be happy a low level snow pattern is setting up - at that point we need a shot of moisture for a big dump. But right now, I don't see the moisture.
Happy holidays and get ready to ride, get ready to ski!

The girls at Mt. Baker are pretty confident they'll open back up on Friday. At least that's what they tell me, but they've been known to whisper sweet nothings in my ear before.
Friday morning when I've finished getting gas at the chevron station at I-5 and Hiway 20, I'll pick up my cell phone and make the decision between Baker or Whistler.
