I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

The balance required to surf a skim board is mind blowing.

    yes.

anyone who has to prevent a trail of snails that have been chopped into tiny pieces and are really bloody from happening for several days each month knows that snail trails aren't a thing unless you really, really want them to be, which, in this case, I doubt.

A friend of mine named "Scrappy," who some of the Vail mags may know, used to skimboard competitively in the mid 90s. He showed me pics and vids of getting towed into waves too, just fuckin' around before/after comps. Yes it's harder to surf on a SB because there aren't any skegs, but Mr. Domke isn't the first, or alone, in that skill.

Depends on what the bottom is.
Sand, not so bad, but you're still gonna roll around in the washing machine, sometimes until you think you're going to involuntarily inhale water.
    Rock/reef bottom...ow. Bad ow.

Yeah, it's loose as hell without a fin, but it's all about the setting that rail. The great ones can do it really well.

Most of the impact unloaded behind him so most likely he just went through the rinse cycle without hitting bottom. Going through the washing machine can still put you outside your element if you panic, best thing is to relax. The more you fight it the more oxygen you burn and the more you panic because you realize you are not in control of the situation.

    skeg
    skeɡ/
    noun
noun: skeg; plural noun: skegs; noun: skag; plural noun: skags
a tapering or projecting stern section of a vessel's keel, which protects the propeller and supports the rudder.
a fin underneath the rear of a surfboard.
    I guess we're both right?

Don't be a douche. No body cares what the dictionary says. It is called a fin on a surfboard. And finless surfing has been around literally hundreds of years, doesn't mean that towing in on a skim board at triple overhead Puerto isn't massively impressive.

    Nice motorcycle.

Tip - always fin man. Fixed skeg on a kayak (rare) or just used as a boat term. Saying skeg in the surf world = 'kook' stamped on your forehead.
