    WE'RE GOING BOWLING!

The Utes run the table, are now a lock to break into the BCS. Also, look out for Boise St, currently 7th in the BCS. A Texas loss on friday to Texas A&M could move them into the top 6, which would keep Cal out of the Rose Bowl. Go UTES!

Please to answer....why would Boise moving up to #6, bump Cal (#4) out of the Rose Bowl?

Because a non BCS school is gauranteed a birth in the BCS if it is ranked in the top 6. Cal would finish second in the Pac 10, meaning no automatic birth. There are only 8 BCS spots, 6 conference champions that are gauranteed and 2 at large spots. Utah and Boise St. would be gauranteed the 2 at large spots.

I'd love for Utah and Boise St. to play in BCS games so they can be exposed for what they are: good, but not great, teams with incredibly weak schedules and conferences.

What's bullshit is that Boston College is going to play in a BCS game.

Persnally, being an impartial, avid follower of college football, I believe Utah deserves to be right where they are. I sincerely hope they play a top tier team (Texas or Cal, or whoever ends up #3 out of the OU, Auburn USC mess) and win. I watched the BYU game and I was impressed.

    Go Utes.

And here's hoping my Irish make the aforementioned OU, Auburn, USC mess a non- issue.

I'd love for your mom to show up at my pad this weekend so she can be exposed for what she is: good, but not great, a woman with incredibly weak morals and ass cheeks.

    Edit: GO UTES--fuckstick.

Watch yourself Ute fans, its a real nasty fall. Trust me. IIf you want to feel good about getting in thru a loop hole, without playing a single tough game, more power to ya.

Also you havent faced any type of defense all year; or even a strong offense what so ever. Im curious what is going to happen. Cause whatever team you face will be strong on both sides, and has played many teams tougher than you through out the year.

Your Ute defense gave up 35 to Air Force, 28 to Wyoming, 31 to Col. State, 28 to UNLV, 28 to San Diego State; not very strong. Your offense only put up 23 aginst the Pac-10's weakest team.

I cant wait to see what happens. Most likely it will be the Rose Bowl -> Utah vs. Cal. That is also the easiest mach up you guys could hope for. I'll be rooting for ya, I love underdogs...but I dont see it happening.

I think that would be a great matchup, I hope for that one, but it seems like the Fiesta is more likely at this point. Most of the points that were scored on the Ute defense was done in the 3rd and 4th quarters once the starters are on the bench. Most of the games I saw had scores in the area of 42-7 by halftime so I personally don't think the weak defense is a good argument, although the offense is definitely the strong point of the team.

So who knows, not sure where they'll be, all I know is I'll be there too.

Here's a loop hole for ya, the Big east and ACC getting BCS bids.

If you watched the BYU game you would have seen the ute defense make up for alex smith's worst performance. Many of the other games you mention involve touchdowns against the second line. When the offense and and defense are clicking the utes are as good as anyone.

Considering Cal might not make the bcs, and no rose bowl reps (as least to my knowledge) have been to a ute game, I would consider this least likely. It will probably be fiesta, or sugar. Easiest matchup would be against BC, but we're not hoping for the easiest.
Utes are undefeated and deserve a shot at an undefeated team.

Negative. Michigan is going to the Rose Bowl. Most likely vs. Cal. In the unlikely event Cal gets the BCS shaft, the Rose Bowl berth would go to the ACC champ (probably Miami), the Big East Champ (probably BC), or possibly the two non-BCS schools Utah or Boise State.

Touting the Ute's defense against BYU means absolutely nothing. The Utes will be outclassed by any team they will face in the BCS.
