I'm putting together what should be a suhweeeet trip to Utah. I'm flying out thursday night the sixth, doing Gordy's maggot camp on friday, saturday, and sunday, and then I'm meeting up with some friends from work to stay in Park City till Saturday.
I've got two dillemas:
1. When to fly back: The guys from work are flying back saturday, and that's when my free stay goes away. I'd kinda like to stay longer, even though it will be MLK weekend. I figure somewhere like Powder Mountain or Snowbasin would still be good and not too crowded. I could either get my own motel room, or maybe crash on someone's floor? I'm not sure how that works, asking somebody for couch or floorspace. Also, is it going to be worth the added expenses of a day or two to get an extra day or two on MLK weekend? I would think so.
2. How to convince my friends that we can't spend all of our time at PCMR or the Canyons. One of them is very good and could easily be influenced, the other is good but not great and I'm not so sure how easily he could be convinced. He thinks we'll save a lot of money skiing at one place and getting a multi-day ticket and that we won't get bored at one place, which maybe he won't, but think I would (ok, probably wouldn't get bored, just would be incredibly jealous of what else is out there). Aren't there discounts to places? With those would it be much more expensive to hop from place to place?
