I spoke to our Flexon/Kniessel supplier today. He lost my order. Doesn't really matter since Europe hasn't shipped yet anyways. I thought most of this was with Roces but I forgot Kneissel Europe is reorganizing from bankruptcy. This happened too late for their production runs to occur on time.

The warehouse guy (that's who I deal with since the rep is useless) says he has lots of last year's stock and can fill my order from that. If you're still having trouble you can email me at uff at ultimatebanff dawt com. I can give more details as I get them.

Sport Haus has something, but he said they don't have the race tongues. He also said that they didn't have the smaller size that my wife needs, but that another shop may and that they're going fast, and may never be available again, so buy, buy, buy...

So I did talk to him, I think I know what he's got, but I'd like to get a survey of what's available. If L7 can do me a better deal and can get the race tongues, dat wood be sooper.

But thanks for the lead O cream of the milkmen.

Buster- the swiss haus told me they had the stiffer tongues. Is it just in your wifes size that they are unavailable, or are they totally unavailable?

Yo, bn, when I talked to him, he told me that the new T-flex liners had tongues and that made his version of the boot stiffer. The old t-flex liners are just a wrap type.

But, my understanding is that out there somewhere, lost in the dark boot bardo of never-never land, past the caterpiller smoking the hookah on the mushroom, there are race stiffness tongues that demiurges like Morrison get to use.

I, like many Icarian ascendants, just want some.

(edited because I really do like to spell...)

That makes sense. His emails were a little confusing. I'm just getting the boots from him now, and I'll deal with the race tongues later. Snowfall+no boots at the moment= one desperate consumer.

If you do locate the race tongues, I'd love to get a pair too. Let me know if you find them. I know another devoted flexon fan that met the Colorado Kneissl rep. in Vegas, I'll see if I can get his number this weekend when I'm in Breck. Are you looking for just the race tongues, or are you still looking for the entire boot?

Oh yeah, one mroe thing: Swiss Sports Haus rocks!

Optimally: I'd like 1 race tongue and 1 pair 301mm sole length (size 26?) Flexon pros with both tongues.

I'll update on what uffL7 tells me later.

I'll see if I can get ahold of him this weekend. When posting this above I just remebered that I even might be able to get ahold of this guy. I might wait to order through vancouver until I talk to this guy. That is if my friend still has his number, he still works for Kneissl, and if he has any stock whatsoever...

    mmm...race tongues.
I couldn't find them, even after a semi-exhaustive search in europe.
    But I want them.

I don't see your email. My work email has been screwed but checking from home I don't see it on the system. Try uff at
telus dawt net. I haven't had luck with race tongues in the past but I know they exist. I wish they would stop cutting out the big chunk in the back of the lower shell. If that was solid the boot would be too and you could soften at will.

"there are race stiffness tongues that demiurges like Morrison get to use"

From what I heard, Morrison just uses the stock Pro T (at least that what he posted on the K2 website a while back), but he's only around 150lbs......

You might need to contact the company that had the line before Roces. Called them (Roces) direct and they have NO tongues.

Deep Powder House at Alta has some flexons in sizes 23, 26, and 27 for $199--they are closed today, but their nov. sale starts tomorrow.
