I am so shocked all the attention and Blame is on the fans & players.
Where the fukk was security during any of this?

they did a horrible job in stopping this or attemptiong to control it.

I bet if you were in that same arena lighting up during a concert you'ld get tossed but tossing shit at somebody, A_OK!

I agree completely. The incident after the finals involved about 30 Bulls fans pushing their way forward, knocking down anyone who was between t hem and the court. My mom got pushed over and I flipped the guy down on the press table as he tried to climb over our seats. Security was there within seconds and stopped it before it got out of hand.

Where our tickets are at the DC, there is absolutely no one that would stop me from running out on the court during the game. Some day, there will be a Monica Seles incident unless the NBA changes it's security requirements for arenas.

    Two observations:

    1. The phrase "went postal" is to be replaced.

    2. My prediction of a Kings/Pacers final will have to be modified.

Not only is Ron Artest a thug, he's a retard. White boy wasn't the one who tossed the cup.

I find it funny that bill & basom (from Boston) are bashing fans from Detroit.

I find it even funnier that a ton of people who jump on the Detroit-bashing bandwagon haven't spent much time there if at all.

Levity is not allowed. Didn't you get the memo?

And I always thought it was O'Reilly who bashed the Ranger fan with the shoe, but I see that it was Milbury. Massholes represent!

There is absolutely no excuse for a professional athlete to attack a fan. The entire point of being a professional athlete is to entertain the fans. If they want to yell at you and thow beers at you, well boo hoo, I guess you can go home and cry yourself to sleep. Just don't forget to grab a few hundred dollar bills to blow your nose with.

The sole exception to this rule is when you bash a Ranger fan with his own shoe, then it's comedy.

O.k. most people who like Detroit don't like it because it sucks. It's just sort of annoying to be called the worst city with the worst fans in the worst place on earth over and over again. You end up getting defensive about it much like people who live in Colorado get defensive over their annual snowfall. Then you just end up embracing you shit place in society because if you're going to be the worst than you might as well enjoy it. Then once you learn how to enjoy this place you can't understand why anyone would knock it.

I admit the idea of someone thinking something was cool because it isn't is pretty strange. I also think you are misinterperting what some people think.

    Ahem!

I'd have to go so far as to say that I am one of the biggest NBA fans in this mutha. I love the NBA. It really is the only pro league that I follow and the really the only sports-related programing I regularly watch. I grew up watching the NBA and the Blazers are all that the city of Portland has ever known on a professional level.

Having said that, there is absolutely no reason EVER that a professional athlete should enter the crowd like that. I am of the opinion that R Kelly could walk down from the stands and piss on Artest and he should resist temptation to git 'em. How much money do these guys make again? Several millions should be more than enough to keep a professional attitude in any situation.

As far as the Detroit fans go, I don't think it was unique to them. But I think that Detroit, with it's impassioned fans and fever pitch atmosphere was probably a likely canidate for such a mess.

so am i to consider the spelling "TruWarier" to have some artistic merit that i'm just not picking up on?

I haven't been able to get to newbury comics to pick up the cd yet, but i'm sure the beats are the bomb.
