after many a year lurking, finally motivated to post due to possible maggot sighting

bummin at work yesterday (Apr 18) and being anything but productive, i decided to leave early for lunch. coming out of the parking garage just past 11 am, i pull up behind a silver outback with a "change for a nickle?" sticker. New Haven maggot?

A little about me: from Connecticut, work as a java programmer, been out west but only weeks at a time
Favorite places: Jackson WY, Little Cottonwood UT, Blackwood Canyon Tahoe
Looking to make a few friends, go skiing, and maybe if i'm lucky, get JONGed a time or two

    yo

Lived in minnesota till i was 5, then moved to summit county. My dad is ex-US ski team, and now he is 50 and i still struggle to keep up with him..lol.
I was a mogul competitor, ski racer, park rat, and now im focused on big mtn skiing. I entered a few comps this year.. Telluride and Taos. Love the scene, some kick-ass, extremely talented, people out there. Im still in school at CU denver, but hopefully next year i will be able to compete in a few more of the US tour events.
send me a message if you want to shred summit, or keep an eye out for green jacket/ white pants... or Megadeth hoodie
Going to a car show to check out the mini-vans is like going to a strip club to check out at the DJ...

Howdy folks, I've decided to stop my lurking.
I'm a college kid studying in PA (alas), but spending the semester in Christchurch, NZ.
Love skiing, love climbing. Been skiing JH since I was 3, so yea, pretty much my 2nd home. Hoping to get out more this coming year, and def. gonna hit up some NZ skiing in June before I'm outta here in July.

Hey there all, figured since everyone else is introducing themselves I'd jump in as well.
I'm from Lake Placid NY, lived here since I was 5. I used to ski a bunch when I was a kid but gave it up after a freak accident almost took my eye. Started back up at the end of last season. This season I've got about 100 days at Whiteface and got my butt handed to me at Snowbird. I run a restaurant and that's about it I think

I guess I'll hop in to this flaming shit-house to help me come down off the 5 month powder trip of the winter of 07-08. I'll be sure to bore you with many photos of rocks and snow. Can't wait to meet the flaming wrath of each and every chump on this site!

Long time NS member, and although there are a stack of really great members over there, I'm sorta getting over the immaturity of the place. The recent JJ thread in gearswap opened my eyes a bit about the collective you have here.
Anyway i'm from Sydney, Australia..hopefully i'll get a few turns in this year!

Hi. Yeah, I've been lurking for quite a while. Starting to get more interesting descents in, so I figured I'd get an account. I just posted a TR for a trip from last Sunday to Mt. Democrat; I guess that's chutzpah. Uhh.. I'm a grad student in Boulder. I ski badly on crappy tele gear, but I try to hit hard lined and push my limits. I guess that's all for now.

Glad to see your line of sight has been adjusted all the way out. Nothing wrong with hittin the park, it really helps you to find your ballance and dealing with sketchy off piste terrain. But as you have found, more time spent out in the gnar is when it all comes into focus and you keep rediscovering why you love to ski! There's no better feeling...

...well except maybe waking up with Jessica Simpson, Brooke Burke & Megan Fox in your bed...but I wouldnt know...

I've been posting on Epic for a while, but you can't say fuck there and sometimes you need to. I love all things mountains and snow, but I'm still lame enough to only be able to claim about 40 days on the snow this year due to my life being a shitshow from the undies of Beelzebub himself. I live in a ghetto-ass area of western Mass with a bunch of dirty crackhead lowlife thieves so I can afford to do what I want when I'm not working, which isn't often. I would do anything for my friends and fellow skiers and I look forward to some good shit-talking and maybe even some instruction to help me suck less. Most of all, I'm here cuz Marshall has a pair of skis I want. FKNA!

P.S.- If you're being jerked around by anyone in the greater Western Mass area, don't hesitate to ask for help- I love raining on douchebag scammers' parades and knock on doors like Jehovah's Witnesses, son!

Hey all, another long time lurker with not too much to say over the years...sometimes hard to contribute from the opposite hemi in wrong season. Have enjoyed spending my summers looking up trip reports and getting amped on lots of stoke posted around here, will attempt to contribute over our upcoming season with some TR's of my own.

Been skiing for 4 years now after boarding for 10. Have spent some time in Jackson and through Utah and Cali over Feb/Mar of 06 before uni took over my life. Have been getting friends and friends of friends to help me out getting hold of TGR gear ever since; dvd's, t shirts and stickers are pretty hard to come by in NZ. Home mountains are split between Mt Hutt and Temple Basin which are both looking for epic seasons in 2008 after following up what you lot experienced this season. Anyways thats enough from me, really keen to meet up with anyone passing through the Canterbury region over the season. If so shout out, would be cool for an inaugural NZ mag ski outing

Been a lurker 4ever, decided that since winters over i might have time to post. Denver area, ski Vail as often as I can but sometimes settle for other places in Summit Cty. Depending on time and snowfall, mostly snowfall. Got in 78 days this season, and still not convinced I'm thru.

Been lurkin for a little while. Moved to Denver last summer. Not nearly as experienced or talented as most on here so i'll probably mostly just sit back and read about things i'll probably never ski.
