"I say this guy gets relieved of JONG status and be bestowed Maggot status immediately. He has proved his IS WORTHY despite his opening phoopah.
It's only fair... that's a great comeback and greatness should be recognized .... thats the maggot code... isn't it?"

Tsup? I love powder in between trees. Love this website. You guys are super helpful, and when not helpful, funny. I hope to have some delicious IPA's with some of you, someday, in real life.

Been kicking around here for a few months and figured it's time to man up and post. I grew up skiing at Burke Mtn. in Northern VT. Went to Vail for a few years after college and have since returned to the east coast and all of it's bullet proof, groomer-nuking glory. I'll be spending most of my ski days at Jay this winter and I'm looking forward to slaying some tree lines and maybe meeting up with some folks for a few laps and a frosty beverage.

    Hi,

Been lurking on here since I saw recession last year.

Read some of the classic threads like gaper’s, that Jessie Jones thing and that $333.

I am from Sydney Aust, just finished an average season that went from no cover to 3ft of powder.

Heading O/S this season possible a couple of weeks at St Anton and a few weeks in the states, tossing up between Jackson’s hole, steamboat not 100% sure yet.

My current ride is K2 PE but looking for something fatter for this year like ON3P wrenegade’s.

JONG! The movie was named "Re: Session".

Oh and if you want recommendations on skis, Tech Talk JONG!

    Welcome to TGR.

I suspect it's fairly customary to post up here when you sign up, so I'll oblige and do so, although I'm not certain how often I'll visit or how much I'll post. The screen name will be familiar to a few folks here already, and I am certain they're face palming and thinking "How the EFF did THAT guy get here?"

So I make it my promise to you, the "maggots" they call your kind? It is my promise that I'll try and keep my contributions A.) insightful B.) poignant C.) humorous.

    Yeah right.
The older I get, the faster I was.

    Punch it, Chewie.

    Damn he seems cool.

    Allow myself to introduce myself.

I've been doing some searching and it seems like this is the place to be if you're an aggressive skier.

So I figured I'd say hi.

Been lurking for a year or so, figured it’s finally time to start posting. I grew up skiing in northern New York (mainly Whiteface and Jay Peak), moved to Steamboat, Co where I stayed for few years, and now reside in Ogden, Ut. Now that’s over let the jonging begin!

Been lurking around for a few weeks so I figure I'd sign up. As you can see I'm from Alabama and have lived here all my life but I've been skiing since I was about 8. We usually take a week to 10 days every year and I can't get enough of it. I realize most of you guys get more days in during a season than I've had my entire life but I still have a good time out there.

We are starting to plan the '11 trip and I got to looking around for gear and whatnot so I happened upon this place.

I signed up yesterday, from the pnw, it's snowing. I've been reading the forums for a while and I figure that it is time to contribute. Just wish there was an acronym search.

    "Thank you for registering, MotherFucker."

    Why thank you!

How this name wasn't taken I'll never understand. Shit, it would've made a great alias.

Been lurking for about 2 years. Jesus what a fucking noob. Just like the dude before me I figured it was time to contribute some of my own lameness to the fold so here I am.

I've been posting intermittently since earlier this year, and figured I'd just actually say, "Hi."

    So... Hi!

    Hello

Found this place from EpicSki on the thread about the "Snowbird: not for beginners" that pointed to a hilarious thread here. This place seemed more my speed.....practical experience, direct answers favored over romper room encouragement.

Been lurking for a while just trying to get more knowledge, but felt I should put up the obligatory first post on the "Welcome Wagon" thread.
