Name: JR Falling
Home: Sacramento area
Ski/Snowboard/Tele Experience: Started skiing at 2. Picked up snowboarding in college, liked racing better. Raced on a laid back team for 3 years. Started to tele last year and then I missed the rest of the season. Shit happens.
Other Activities: tennis, frolf, golf, ultras
Quiver: currently Line Darksides, Rossi SickBirds, and Atomic SL11s
Work: I piss off hippies, mothers, and Johnnies.
I thought this thread was lacking photos, so here is a picture:
Looking back, he shouldn't have come with his GS skis. I probably shouldn't have laughed either.
So aside from being a full time jong, I'm a Friend of Shames. I've skied about 30 years, been hard boot boarding about 15 and tele-ing about 10. Still suck at the tele's but it's great to be humbled, so every couple of weeks during the season I take em out again. In my time I hit a few hills in yurp (taught a bit there), skied most of the hills in BC and AB. Lurked here the odd time for a couple of years before prompted to post. A couple of questions though:
1) When do I get sent my wicked avatar (like the stick man running with scissors)?
2) Who do I talk to about getting a super-cool quotation?
By the way, this place kicks ass.
Hello. I'm brand new to these forums. I like to shred and I push pixels to support it. Sometimes I consider myself a photographer; here are a few images from the past couple months in Montana. Further, I work for the Forest Circus in the summer and I made a small movie about being a Fire Lookout. I'm looking forward to perusing these forums and picking up classy/witty/suggestive remarks such as the one at the beginning of this post (something about pulling a #3 with sandpaper). Enjoy the photos and movie, arggggh!

Long time listener, first time caller.
Spend all my time goofing off in the mountains of Alberta and British Columbia.
Skied forever(30+years), mostly DH but some tele and touring thrown in there as well. Learned to snowboard five years ago and have been hard at it ever since.
Whitewater kayaked over 1500 days in the last 14 years, this is probably the greatest of all sports.
Now it's time to put a serious effort into alpine touring with superfat skis!!
welcome kids

New Season, new member
These forums have been providing me with useful info for a while, so i thought its time i tried to give something back. Based in Innsbruck, Austria, so hopefully i can pass on firsthand info on weather, snow, and anything else people want to know of the region.
Kiwi snowboarder now living in London UK. A bit late to the party - I started 4-5 years ago - making up for lost time! Living off the mainland is a bit of a handicap but I'm still aiming for 4-5 weeks away this season in Euroland. I went on an Avy 101 course last season and really keen to get off the groomers more often if I can find folk to ride with. I've conviced some mates to do a course in Lenzerheide this season so that's a start. I'm generally lurking the Snow For The Euros thread F5'ing like a motherfucker.
is this the place where i welcome myself to this internet site?
been riding for somewhere around 15 years now and only recently got into mtn biking as a way to tolerate the off season.
live in the bay area and ride in the sierra...kirkwood last 5 years but squaw this year for a change of scenery
i am shredding 100% of the time: on the mountain, at my desk job, while using the restroom, im having a hard time thinking of the last time i wasnt actively engaged in shredding
interested in getting the most out of this site![]()
you definitely wanna stick with the pre carck. that post crack can get seriously wrong.

NYC ski fukinfanatic here! And no, I do not ski in NY. Rather sit home and watch Lifetime with my wife or catch some terminal disease.
the only sport I participate is in is skiing. Started when I was 10 and soon realized this was THE best thing ever. Well, close second to when I met Jenna Jamieson.
Raced for high school for all 4 years. Went to ski camp for 4 years @ Mt.Hood Summer Ski Camps...any other alumni on here from MHSSC?
I do not claim to know shit about "out of bounds" skiing cause I do not.
Dream in life is to ski Europe, Japan and Whistler.
Oh, I have a thing with "Blizzard of Ahhhhs", 80s/90s ski clothing and spending endless money on ski gear-mainly pants & jackets. Oh, MILFS as well.
been lurking this site for a bit. I thought I had obsessive issues with Skiing.
Hello maggots,
I am long time reader for gear talk and such.
I'm a patroller / patrol instructor in the midwest. (South Central Region)
I haul Chicago people off our massive 300' vert in Wisconsin.
You are all lucky that jongs are the minority at your mountains.
We also get lots of powder, the kind you can see yourself in.
I'm just happy I have a place to slide.
I get in 15 ski days in the western mountains each season.
I do side/slack country if the conditions are right.
I have Marker Dukes mounted to Atomic Snoops, skins, avy gear and education.
SF based Tahoe skier here..born and bred on 110 vertical foot ropetow joint outside Chicago..

let the hazing begin so I can move onto participating!
Came across this site recently. Probably haven't trolled long enough, so I will keep my comments to a minimum to start...
Not-so-vital info: I am a skier. Cut my teeth in the Sierra's, and have been living in CO for the past decade. Past few years have actually been getting regular ski-time in. Live in Vail/BC area since '07, and plan on being here for the duration.
Pray for snow!
Joined last year for all the right reasons. Blew my ACL in October. I am back again now after 26 days this year and ready to rumble! Tele skier from Denver. Ski in the winter fly fish in the summer. Any Questions?
Is it breakfast time yet?
Steve, Todd...BEC TGR style?
Happy New Year Guys.
Can't wait to put into motion all the advice I've been reading up on, especially the stuff involving sandpaper.
