That's okay, no one skis at those places anyway.

hey, I hope you're right. I think I'm a little wary after seeing similar scenarios last season and getting left high and dry at WP/MJ and even Berthoud Pass. A southeast wind component just is not conducive to any big accumulations in the areas in and near the Front Range that we Colorado folk like to ski.

    Missing Out!

Berthoud has been killer so far this year. I'm betting this storm gives B.P. a beautiful fresh coat. I'll be missing out on this storm cause I just got "fixed" down below, if you know what I mean.
Now, how's that for a first post?

Who is going to WC on Sunday? Looks like they are reporting 6 new this morning and 7 - 11 more on the way. I think I am going to make a drive down later tonight with a couple friends. Anyone want to meet up?
I was amazed at how light and fluffy the powdery snow was and at how the challenge never ended.

    URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE...CORRECTED
    NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DENVER CO
    353 PM MST SAT NOV 20 2004

...STORM TO HAVE LESS OF AN IMPACT ACROSS NORTHERN COLORADO...

.THE STORM OVER THE SOUTHWESTERN UNITED STATES HAS TAKEN A PATH THAT WILL HAVE LESS IMPACT OVER NORTHEAST AND NORTH CENTRAL COLORADO TONIGHT. SNOW IS STILL POSSIBLE...BUT AMOUNTS WILL BE CONSIDERABLY LESS THAN EARLIER THOUGHT.

Ya know, even though my mind said that this would happen, my heart was hoping that I was wrong. DAMN!! So sick of seeing huge forecasts and then getting nothing. Why the hell are Boulder, Larimer, Grand, Park, and Summit counties in the same forecast area anyway?
