Its my favorite cheap beer, but hipsters have stolen this once ski-bum staple. And we all know hipsters are super gay. Did they ruin it? I'm almost afraid to be seen with it in my hipster-laden neighborhood. There's been a rash of reefing on PBR lately, so I wanted to ask the collective.
I still drink it.

It's the best bad beer I've ever had - if I have to drink a domestic, that's my choice right there. Plus it's like half the price of the 3 major domestics (Bud/Miller/Coors) because there is zero marketing overhead of any kind, and IMO it tastes better anyway.
I live in Hawaii tho so beer costs 10 bucks a 6er for any kind of micros/good stuff, and PBR is hard to find at stores unless I get it in bottles - that's a can beer for me.

Drank the hell out of it and enjoyed every single one, til I went on this weight kick. PBR has just under 4! times the carbs as miller or natty lite. So I switched, and have not sacrificed a single beer to help the diet, still have dozens a week. And if I feel lime actually getting drunk, there's Crown!

PBR is my cheap beer of choice. Generally I'm a beer snob, but if the purpose is getting drunk than it's PBR.

PBR is fine and is one of the three cheap beers I'll drink. The other two are Rainier and Schmidt.
I don't give a fuck what hipsters do. No one would ever confuse me with a hipster, even if I had a PBR in my hand....Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain...

I'm a Budweiser guy, personally, with the occasional Guiness when available. PBR has always been overrated and became more so when it became hip. Kudos to them for a successful rebranding but if I'm drinking cheap beer, it's going to be on Naturday.

a) I car camp damn near every weekend from April-July (kayaking) and always have plenty of cheap beer. You can only drink so many "good" beers around the fire but the amount of PBR or Kokanee one can drink is limitless. Originally Posted by Tippster
