    Chopped off Lefty's junk today...

...I know it was the right thing to do, the world doesn't need any more Akita/Lab/Aussie Cattle Dog/whatever-he-would-mate-with mixes running around. Plus he was getting pretty forward with the (spayed) girls, which was causing some conflicts.

But he's walking like a guy with a load in his pants and all I can think is...

    OUCH!!!!!

    Haha-

I joked with the vet that I wanted to put a set of Rotweiller balls on my 22 lb Boston Terrier, right before his operation.

Dude got all serious with me, telling me how he would never do that to a dog, it is unethical. Yeah, he isn't my vet anymore.

Apparently, some unscrupulous sorts were having this done, and then entering the dogs in dog shows. The dogs were really well behaved, since they had no nuts. This is not really legal though, so a lot of vets stay away from the procedure. I guess they are liable to the AKC if a pet owner abuses the new nuts.

Dog shows are about selecting the best breeding stock so a [male] dog must have a pair (the judge checks) and some breeders with a nice 1 nut dog will add a nut to increase his value. It's the dog owner or breeder that gets into trouble; not the vet. You want a dog with a lot of presence and whacking his nuts off would take away from that. It would for me.
If you have a problem & think that someone else is going to solve it for you then you have two problems.

So, did you do it in the bathtub or in the garage?
    I hope you didn't use a router.

Know what I'm getting my pooch for Christmas - he'll get some respect at the dog park swinging a pair of those around. Hell I might even get some for myself.

I used to work with this dude that grew up on a farm, and he told me how they castrated bulls.

I have never been able to look at a rubber band the same way since
