I will be in a white Toyota truck!! You going to be riding a short board or long board?
depends on how things look. my "longboard" is 6"10.Originally Posted by Helicrackjnky

Thats about the size of my fish/pirahana. Other wise I ride 9'0 long board. Just all depends on the swell!
Just checked the surf forcast looks like we should have a good swell by the end of the week!!
looks like it might be a bit sooner.

The waves were that is. YEsterday and today was fun, minus today's wind-chill. Good luck finding parking at 7am at the 25th St. Lot. Every high school turd in the city will be there. Maybe park at Grand St. Lot and walk south to the power-plant?
Ideas Pu?

I am game for whatever everyone else wants to do!! If it is big enough the Jetty north of the powerplant is fun!
If there's a swell over 6 foot the South Bay beachbreaks will be a barrage of full-suck, top-to-bottom, board-breaking, sinus-washing, washing machine closeouts. If straight-handers are your bag, baby, then that's cool, but if you want to cruise an open face for longer than 2 seconds then we need a spot that handles it.
If its over 6 foot, then I'll check out Hagg's or the Cove in PV, and then give you foo's a call.
There's a secret parking spot up the hill from Marine. Seek and ye shall find.
Sounds good to me!! lets touch base thursday evening
there's an 8am high tide on friday (dunno the height), but that usually helps deter the closeoutedness.Originally Posted by Punani

"Wednesday morning looks like another tolerable day of waves (actually today was pretty fun) for those of you that will brave the chilly morning. We're expecting a slight boost out of the NW which will put top West facing beaches in the waist to shoulder high zone. Not real consistent but if you dance around the high tide you should do Okay."
See you chumps Friday. Watch out for da black shorts. Nobody messes wit' Da Hui.

not lookin' any better for tomorrow:
LA County
On Friday look for a small NW wind/ground swell mix in the morning. Northern LA spots see mainly below waist high waves. The South Bay is in the knee high range, with a few bigger sets at top breaks in the north half of the bay. A new mix of NW ground and wind swell builds by the late afternoon with knee-waist high surf at the better exposed breaks and occasional bigger sets at top South Bay spots by sunset. Look for similar sized surf to hold into Saturday morning, with larger NW energy expected by Sunday. Light and variable wind on Friday morning, turning W by the afternoon.
i'm thinking of hittin' baldy on sunday as this storm comes through. anyone in?
fine
See you all in the AM?? 7 @ 25th! I will be in a gray camery with a long board hanging out the trunk (yes gaperific Thanks to MB Toyota!!) looking forward to some good laughs in the line up!!
Was it any good? I checked it from the top of the hill and it looked like a fuckin swimming pool so I dragged my hungover ass back to bed. New NW swell supposed to be hittin later so might check it this arvo or Sat morning.
"Son, you can surf or you can fight."
Can't I just go back to bed?
Fack, this sucks. I'll just have to settle for drinking heavily at the ND/SC game and then rest up for the storms rolling through NorCal this week. Not that I would surf with you guys anyway. I'm skeered you'd pound this haole into the ground, bra.
