Kirkwood vs. Alpine on Saturday 11/20?

I've got a pass to Alpine, but thinking it'll be better over at Kirkwood... Hmmm...

Alpine isn't showing anything on their snow report or giving any information on how many lifts/how much terrain will be available. Maybe they will add info tomorrow. Great mountain. I had a pass there for 2 seasons. Kirkwood will still only have 5 lifts/whole front of the mountain open. Kirkwood has pretty good snow for early season. I haven't skied Alpine this season to compare. If it might influence your decision, I'll be bringing the Bro Model demo fleet to Kirkwood on Saturday - Bro Call - Kirkwood, Saturday, 11/20

People were coming back with reports of Alpine being pretty rough last weekend. I can't imagine this last week of weather did anything to help that. I would go to Kirkwood if you are looking to ski, plus you can meet up with plenty of maggots down there.

I think conditions are going to vary between “shit” and “pretty average” no matter where you go. Kirkwood has tons of terrain open, but I’m predicting the off-piste lower sections of the mountain (specifically The Drain) will be a rutted death ride complete with random holes, rocks and running water under the snow pack. KICK ASS!

I probably wouldn't bother skiing this weekend if it weren't for wanting to try out the BroModels.

Yes. The drain can be pretty interesting this time of year. If the sun hasn't baked the snow pack away, I know of an alternate route that only involves threading the needle between a few trees w/o the holes, rocks, running water, traversing gapers, etc. I'm happy to show maggots the way through. Arty50 also knows of this detour.

I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

I would love to know this info. I hate the drain, and especially right now. I will be on the lookout for brotomodules.

Kirkwood it is... BroModel factor did it.

I'll be the guy with no pants on, since I just ordered some from jayfrizzo's store, but there's no way I'm gonna get 'em by this weekend...

Your prediction is based on firsthand experience from your flatlight-induced tele-smear-turn-to-polish-donut-to-ass-handing in the Drain last Sunday, no?

That was some funny shit, almost as funny as you leaving a body imprint on the Drain wall.

I sense high speed groomer schralping this weekend. And after I'm sick of that...ummmm...shit...does Bub's open at noon? I don't think the bc will be much better either.

Methinks it's time to burn some skis...
