Ram's Head Inn is within walking distance. My first choice. I think Rehabit and Bomber stayed there during the summit. They can tell you how good it is.

There are a bunch of condos recently built near hte bottom of the hill but they are privately owned. Some might be up for rent. Local rental guy, Simone, might be able to help you find out. I'll see if I can find a number for him.
Red Shutter Inn is at the hill.
Red Mountain Motel is at the hill.

Rossland Motel is an easy 5 minute drive.

I don't know the name but the little A-frames at the bottom of the access road are sweet.

I believe those were part of the Red Mountain Motel. I think they are gone though. There is a big ass building in what was once the roadway in front of them now.

You can fly into the Cancelgar Scareport but it is pretty unreliable in the winter due to weather conditions and chickenshit airline lawyers who won't let the pilots land blind. It is about 2 hours from Spokane if you rent a car.

    Spokane.
You can rent there, but be clear about going o'er the boarder (intended misspell).

yeah Rams Head was great! Old style wooden hot-tub, nice quiet atmosphere, and breakfast (real home cooked) every day. I think they do dinner's on the weekends if there's enough demand also. Not a place to have 20 of your closest friends for a rager, but We couldn't have been happier with it.

    Rams Head Inn

Definitely the nicest spot close to the hill.

You can fly into Spokane and catch a shuttle up to Red Mtn if you would prefer not to spend the $$$ renting a car. Check out www.ski-red.com for info. I live (well my parents do, not there much anymore) 35-40 minutes from Red/Rossland so let me know if you need specific help or advice with anything. I should be there for the comp so will see you there!

Second, RHI is the shizzy. Super nice digs, super nice inn keepers, and nice fluffy down comforters. I believe they are 2nd gereation running the place. They make a mean breakfast and you can walk to the lifts.
