You can rent a car at some places if you're under 25, just have to pay $5-15 a day extra. Call around if you want to go that way. Or, I'll drive you for the price of gas and lodging!

I rented from Enterprise and Rent a Wreck when I was under 25. Both are usually cheaper than the other guys...especially Rent a Wreck. You might get an old beater with a crappy tint job, but it will get you there.

Unfortunately Mammoth is basically a 300mile extension of SoCal which means its car country which also means you need to rent a car... Literally everyone drives there, hence the severe lack of options for you. Reno is definitely your closest airport to fly into. around 3 hours drive instead of 5 from LAX. Most of the mags come from La to Mammoth so if one were to try hitching a ride it might be tough from Reno since the doods there all tend to ski Tahoe. Somehow ya gotta figure out how to rent a car.

    Read this article.
Then don;t forget to play the slots in your way out of town. Also, Fantasy Girls has a $20 beer/burger/lap dance deal. Not that I've ever been there.

This page might be usefule. I think the shuttle services mentioned towards the bottom might work for you.

The truth is, there's a reason Mammoth isn't a major destination resort, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the terrain, weather, or snow conditions. Right now, you're discovering why Intrawest is so interested in getting commercial flights into the Mammoth airport.

People get rides all the time - just post on the mammoth mountain forums in the Ride Share section, and start a thread asking for a ride. It works.

Were in the middle of fuckin' nowhere, if you havent figured that out yet. Whatever happened to hitchhiking? And what Yogachik said is good advice. If worse comes to worse I could pick you up for a Benjermain.
Gave up on the bottle, give me the lobotomy.
