    Pedro talks to Daddy (BR)

Now wouldn't baseball be boring without George? c'mon, at least give me that. hehehe

"Sometimes George Steinbrenner does his own negotiating, and on Tuesday he met face-to-face with the most prominent free agent pitcher on the market -- Pedro Martinez, who, to date, has not accepted a two-year, $27.5 million offer from the Boston Red Sox."

what happened to all the hate in NY for pedro after he beat up a senior citizen? it will be great to see all the backpeddling if he signs with georgie. 'uh, yeah, i used to hate him and call him a head hunter, but now that he has a hair cut i think he's a good guy.'

i wonder if he could negotiate a clause to keep his hair and midgets? george does love seem to love him a lot.

after this post i promise not to talk about baseball untill spring training, at least. signing rumors are stupid fluff that passes as news, and i apologize for contributing. my b.

I do not give a rats ass about baseball.

My brother, however, is a die-hard yankees fan; and the the most foul language I have ever heard came from the mouth of my mother during a (shall we say) "heated" exposition on the sexual habits of the female members of Pedro's family (apparently she thinks they have a fondness for 4-legged love).

So yeah, there's a lot of hate for Pedro. Watching my brother tie himself into knots last night trying to decide how to feel about this was interesting, to say the least. He's hoping that this is all a ploy to force some other team to spend big-bucks on Pedro.
