I tune it out when I'm on the hill and prefer conversation with other humans as opposed to staring into space on the lift.

You watch TV while you're skiing? Wow, I'm impressed. Now I know why you have those rabbit ears strapped to your backpack.

i usually get three or four lines of a song stuck in my head and sing them out loud all day long. i have a lot of talent, and i like to share.

last year for some reason i got that old Pharoahe Monch jam from back in 2000 stuck in my dome like every single day.

I have this really vast catalog of songs in my brain that I draw from. The upside is I can still hear what's going on around me and change songs really easily.

The downside is sometimes I get a song by Justin Timberlake or Culture Club stuck in my head and there is no "stop" button (lord have mercy).

I prefer drum and bass (666's mixes are great to ski too), prodigy, basement jaxx and lots of hard rock/punk (zebrahead, millencolin, HIM, less than jake) and a bit of rap with good beats.

sing-a-long doesn't need the music in the headphones, just the music in my head. Which means its probably relentlessly bad and catchy. The worse a song is to listen to=the better on the chair. Especially when there's three of you and some unlucky single contemplating dropping off the chair.

sure you can. it's all "boom pich boom-pich, der dun-dun".

i usually get whatever song they've got playing at the top of the chair stuck in my head until i get back to the top and they've got another one playing.

but van halen's "change" fucking rules.
    fine

obviously. i never use headphones. i have enough gear issuses without dealing with tunes. i only go for the sing along, thats why its hard for me to get into the techno sing along.

however i have started a Lords of Acid sing along:

DOWN ON THE FLOOR, YOU BITCH!
    YOU SPACY SLUT!!!!!!
EHRU EHRU BAB EHUR UNCE UNCE UNCE BOOM UNCE!

also recomended for anyoyng chair sing along is anything by Andrew W.K.

I tend to listen mostly to:
    • "Sounds of the Slaughterhouse" by the West Hanover Meatpacking Company
    • A home-made compilation of the backround sounds from a variety of big-beautiful-women fetish pornographic films
    • A 20-minute loop of a recording of that eerie squeaking noise that Freddy Kreuger makes in the Nighmare on Elm Street movies when he drags his knives on copper pipes
    • ABBA's Fernando when I want to huck something big
    • recordings of sheep and dogs for apres-ski when I want to get into, ahem... the mood

This thread just smacks of lameness.
