^^ Yep, grew up in that area and my pop's has a place right up the highway in Merlin.
Nice work taking Rainy and making it through. That's a bitch of a rapid that tosses many more boats than make it through, and few actually try. Looks like a sick trip though. Were the Salmon rolling yet?
Right on! We did a float through there in mid August and had a blast. I'll post a couple of pics up in an up coming thread later. Such a rad river though. And good on you for taking Rainey. We had 14' cataraft and if we didn't have a bunch of gear that we didn't wanna lose on it we would've dropped it too.

I think they call that Blossum Bar. If I remember the story correctly, that didn't used to go. Miners or loggers dynamited the shit out of it, so they could get boats down the river. Sweet run, surprising amount of folks running it in dories.Fun section towards the end
