I've been talking with jibij lately and was bummed to learn of the demise of jibij.com. Jibij's dream came down due to lack of support from the industry. At the same time, I'm trying to find a way to expand the visibility of PM Gear. Jibij and I were brainstorming on what the ultimate skier's site would offer, the end result being a site that would get traffic driven to it, offering something that would appeal to people enough to visit and come back again, have a gear store to support it, but most importantly have some really unique offerings found nowhere else on the web.
So I thought I'd come to the mountain here and ask - what creative offerings should be included in a one stop shop website for skiers peripheral to just buying ski related hardgoods or viewing movies that show how tricks are done, trailers, or a forum?
What would the next big thing in skisites be - besides nude chicks jibbing?

Skiing was (I think) waaaay more synonomous with sexy a few decades ago. But the sport seems to be suffering from a case of blue balls the past few years due to the infiltration of corporate unconsciousness. Given that we can now see every conceiveable act of sex on TV and the interweb, I think sex might just be the most appropriate way to sell skiing. And I think it's something the industry has missed in a fashion not unlike when Vegas decided to become a "family" place. Went over like the Osmonds playing the Hookers Ball.
So - a website, sex, sales, weather, reviews, resort info, and.....????
