TR Report Card is a cunt

Ran into Scralph and Sinecure in the A.M., but lost them after taking a lap or two. Best snow of the day was in the d-chutes and seldom slides. Scotts, skiers right of the chute was 3" or so of cream on slick hardpack, slick but very smooth. Art's and the chutes was pretty good too.

Left about 3 and met powdork and somebody else (sorry, I forgot) on the way out. Fun, but wet, day.

Easter Sunday + snain in the parking lot = fresh tracks under the lift right through 4 o'clock.

Hey powdork, Carson Pass blew today.










Blew snow into the bowls for smooth blower pow on top of well bonded spongy storm snow. Snowed all day, inch an hour hard at times. Our skintrack got refilled between laps one and 2. One of those perfect density transitions where it wasn't deep but you rarely bottomed out. Sooooo fucking good, powder sprays rooster tails and everything. Photos and TR later in the week.

Hope you had a good Easter with the fam though, sorry you couldn't make it. We had a Dales up top for you!

Easter Sleeper Funday! Squaw was fan-fucking-tastic today, that is if you didn't mind being wet. Cream cheese on a soggy bagel and the winds were working their magic on the east side of KT. Fresh tracks on Red Dog Ridge all day long. Weather couldn't make up its mind, its was rotating from rain to snain to snow all day long, was briefly puking snow at 11:30am. Bottom starting getting sticky at around noon, but 9am until then was quite possibly one of my best mornings ever, there was absolutely nobody out there.

Put a nice summer wax on the skis today. And cleaned windows.

Sleeper weekend above 8000 feet in Nevada this weekend. Stayed dry both days with plenty of fresh canvas for an artist to stoke his brush. Wind doing its usual magic. Easily got fresh windblown right till 4 both days. Them gully things were quite nice as well.

I've been slacking in the stoke area for a while, but I just got a GoPro and I banged out a quick edit from yesterday's footy. Yes it's a bit long winded, but I really wanted to use that song.

no idea ... do they close the road to Judah when not running? Isn't base lodge private property but Judah sitting on NFS land? This is all conjecture ... I'm basically contributing nothing to this discussion, sorry.

Schralph warming up for some Skier666 impressions. Keep in mind this guy learned to ski this season and he's on 210 Red Sleds.

Damn, I've got to angulate my downhill ski more and get my ass forward! What a PSIA-newb gaper I am!!!

By the way, thanks to Ottime for the skis. They are frighteningly stiff (TEAM BIONIC DOWNHILL RACERS!!!) but were not as unwieldy as I thought on the packed snow. In the deeper cream cheese however I feared for my life and couldn't make turns. So I just aired and straightlined whatever I could

Can't speak for what Sun was like at AM, but given conditions on Sunday plus the continued weather and winds today, I would think Squaw would be pretty damn fun. Maybe someone who skied Squaw today could chime in, website said Headwall was spinning (can't see how thats possible given the conditions I saw on the webcam). There should have been some good wind buffed cream cheese up there.

Only KT and Exhibition were turning at Squaw today but there was plenty of buffed out untracked goodness and it was fairly empty.

KW is offering up a free ticket for anyone with a pass to another Tahoe resort. Will not be good on Memorial Day, so you have until this weekend.

Pretty nice if you have a Heave pass and want one more day of lift serve. Bet it was good today.

Glad you liked it. I will hopefully get some sort of mojo and improve... I have about 5 million songs I want to use so there are plenty of opportunities to practice.


I just wanted to share something amazing that happened to me... And since I'm hiding on Facebook this is the most vis I can get for this...

Back Story:
Remember years ago when Jerry Seinfeld had the AmEx commercial where he would spend and everything would be perfect? Somewhere around 93-94 I believe. Well, in one of those commercials he pumped gas and the price came out something like an even $20.00 and the gallons pumped were something perfect also. Since then, which by the way was before I was even driving, every time I put the nozzle into the tank's orifice I would try and make the perfect pour. <- No shit! I would seriously look for the perfect pour and I have been doing it since that commercial. I have come close, but today I hit the nail on the head. I just went one more click on the filler and BOOM! PERFECT POUR!
