My roommate was told to show up to work the terrace bar at high camp tomorrow if the wind doesn't put it on hold, whatever that means for sibo and the other chairs up there.

Ski Patrol is going to have to drag chair pads through lots of snow (I hope).
I heard they might gunning for next Friday, the 26th. I guess we might hear more tomorrow. See you up there!

Been snowing at close to inch/hour here at Alpine since I got here around 6-6:30. House is cold, but getting warmer little bit at a time. Need to get firewood delivered ASAP.

Might have to go for a hike at Alpine tomorrow afternoon. Sunday may be a better bet.

    Translation of twenty-one tres:

it’s tough to be overly bullish on snow totals, but with the cold air advection, decent upslope, and crazy instabililty aloft, 4-5 feet is a real possibility for Tahoe resorts.

evolution is only over for humans. (edit-it's not really over, it's just that ability to survive is no longer a factor).

/\/\/\ Holy ! I'm glad jahroy and I were able to escape at lunchtime. We made it about 4.5, but that included a sit-down dinner and a gas stop.

The building across from me has one of those metal roofs. It slid like a slab avy a few minutes ago. Left at least a one foot crown. It has been snowing all night, although at this very minute it has let ups just a little. It definitely looks like winter outside.

I recall it as October 23rd.
After a new Left ACL on Nov.12, and then the Right one on March 3, KW has their earliest opening day! I was not going to miss it. I may not have been real strong yet, but it was the first ski day in 11 years without knee braces.

^^^ All that I remember is it was the year I learned to ski again. And I had several powder days before Halloween. Good year it was.

Beautiful and sunny this morning in Santa Cruz. If this is just a break between the bands of downpours, I love it. Gonna go for a walk with the wife to score points. Then two days of work, then powder.

A Tahoe Card will get you $20 off a non-holiday midweek ticket. As for the weekend...good luck.
