I know most of you will be out skiing on turkey day. But if not, We do an annual flag football game @ South Tahoe High starting around 10 am. we usually play till around 1 or so. Warm clothes are recommended, cleats are a necessity, Booze is a must.

It's good clean fun. Not to rough cause nobody wants to get hurt. Although last year we ended up with a broken collar bone from a diving catch on frozen dirt & a broken finger from a block gone wrong.

Thumbs up So Where are you Headed this Weekend (11/20-21)?

OkleeDoklee Neighboureeno's...Scruffy Skittles in Effect, Seen?
Cinders & I will be headed to NoStars on Saturday Or at least that's the plan

It was a toss up between Sat or Sun, but decided getting home on Saturday, might be easier than on Sunday.

Yeh, it's NoStars, and only beginner & intermediate (no Burnout ) but it's skiing 2 weeks early as far as we're concerned!

I remember touring up Sentinal with you a few days after last years game. I recall stories of very firm ground. Perhaps this year we can be on a lift served run.

I just looked at the satellite and I don't know what everyone is getting so excited about? This storm is going to disappoint. Put the skis away and get the cleats out.

Speaking of storms, I am watching the most recent episode of storm chasers right now....now that is a fkn huge storm!!

Watching storm chasers as well. I'm not sure what's bigger, their balls or brains. Most insane episode ever.

I grew up at the base of that mountain. If you want to ski it, you gotta hike up from the bottom. When it has snow they either close the road or check cars for skis, boards, and sleds... those rangers are a bunch of lamos.

That said.... if the earth was globally cooling, MT D would be the first place to hit in the bay.

Or you can bike to the top, ride a lap, and then bike back down an icy icy road. Ask Schralpmachio.

When is this from? There is definitely a worthy descent on that hill.

Wonder when the Avy Center is going to update their forecast w/ the storm headed in...

Just a word of caution: lots of wind and low-density snow means widespread windslab near and above treeline. Be careful out there.

Yeah the predictions are definitely starting to say its snow all weekend and probably Monday.

I haven't decided if I'm going to try and go up saturday somewhere.

Anyone from east bay gonna make the drive? Let me know, it would definitely influence my choice.

I've been eying the ski lines on Diablo since I was a little kid.

With coverage top to bottom I think you'd get about 3000' vert. ?

It is from Interfacelift. Not my pic but the description places it sometime during last season.

The mountain is around 3800', shoots up about 3000' from the local area. That said... you could ski from the top continuously for almost 2000' on the north or east then the rest of the decent would be rolling hills.

It is one of those mountains you look at and say to yourself "why cant it snow here"

“ONE FINAL NOTE…THE OVERALL PATTERN IS KNOWN TO PRODUCE SOME OF
THE HIGHEST SNOWFALL TOTALS ON RECORD IN THE SIERRA AND WESTERN
NEVADA. SO AS THE EVENT UNFOLDS…LIQUID FORECAST AMOUNTS MAY
SLOWLY INCREASE AND THUS ANY OF THE TOTALS ABOVE COULD END UP
    BEING HIGHER“.
