10/11 Tahoe Weather, Conditions, Stoke, and What's Up Thread

apparently none of us watch enough TV, because I'm sure if the Tahoe maggots were paying attention to the Dodge promotions one of us would be the owner of a free Dodge Journey.

I didn't know about the promo until watching football today, and instantly said "dude, driving south past Emerald Bay, that looks a lot like Hope Valley," and sure enough the Dodge was parked out in Hope Valley. Woulda been easy pickins for any mags in Xmas valley watching the Youtube feeds!

Saw that too and it was pretty obvious generally where it was. Too bad it was a dodge. I wonder how you went about claiming it had you found it.

Seriously, it's a damn shame that this car didn't go to a Tahoe mag. I think they started releasing clues on Saturday morning. Kinda funny how they went from Napa to Placerville to Emerald Bay and then ended up in Hope Valley. At least park the freaking thing out by the PATCH or Lost Lakes instead of right off the side of Blue Lakes Road!

Loved the rain and thunderstorms we had this weekend. The first, in my recollection, since early June.

I vaguely remember seeing that Dodge commercial, but in accordance with my practice of not paying attention to commercials, I didn't pay much attention to the commercial. Also, I was too busy watching Alex Smith, Tarvarius Jackson, Tony Romo, and Mark Sanchez vie for worst NFL quarterback. Romo won.

So... anyone been to forestdale or round top in the past few days? Gonna go get some september turns this weekend and would appreciate and beta regarding the forestdale road and also whether you would take the winnemucca or round top trail from Woods Lake?

do you fish? last time we left from woods lake at about ten in the morn and saw five fisherman each leaving with the limit. said they were biting anything.

I skied yesterday, still lots of snow around roundtop... saw a few other snow riders out there as well!

I was probably one of the people you saw. I noticed at least 3 other people/groups getting their september turns yesterday.

Today I skied the Eastbowl of Roundtop with dookey67, SchralphMacchio, MJ and Trey.
We found some great snow.
Here is an example:
