Another fine day at The Ranch today, possibly closing out the lift served season in Tahoe. More free beer and watermelon today. Lots of little hucks built on the mountain. I worked on a nice zipper line in the main Chair 2 bowl. I use that term loosely as that is tough to do on stiff fat Bros. Ran in to Guermo and Mrs Guermo. Nice to meet ya. When I left at 2, the chair was still spinning. The owner, Marshall, said he would leave it spinning until all people were shuttled down the hill. A more extensive report and a few pics are at UnofficialAlpine.com

It looked really snowy on Folger (and other peaks out that way). Unfortunately, I had to hurry back and didn't check out Highland Lakes road. The river looked pretty big, so the fords may be a challenge even if the road goes.

    DSR in July

Last Saturday at DSR, really fun day and can be the last lift served day this season. Not too many people on the mountain and some of you got into my camera when we all there. Got extra several runs after 2 while shuttle was on the way.

Free beer and watermelon on top:

kfactor blew out his knee on the trampoline that night and was still looking for some crutches as of last night if any south tahoe mags have a spare pare.

Bummer. I have none and am not in South Lake, but having swung through a bunch of thrift shops in North Lake over the last couple of weeks, looking for finds for the new house, I can vouch for the fact that every shop has a crutch collection, cheap.

    DSR

Yeah, you didnt catch me in the pics. I was moving too fast. I was the old guy in bright green glasses and SkiLogiks (saturday) and Bros (sunday) making rally laps for speed.

What a fun closing weekend. All resort owners should be like Marshall.

Marshall did right, it's not often to get on a running lift this late in a season , all about fun.

Some in this one, if you are not in, next time

Stop it! Give up. It's summer! I won't rally for yet another closing day. At this rate, we'll still be celebrating the '10-11 season when 2012's storms are rolling in. I'm in - summer wax is for skiing, right?

Probably similar to last year... The castle peak quad with a WROD or two and some small jumps/rails off to the sides

Might as well go hit that kicker into Kinney Lake up on Ebbetts that LSL was creaming about...you'll spend about the same $$ in gas as you would on a Boreal lift ticket...and have much better braggin' rights.

    PS
Carson Pass is holding like Tony Montana right now...so many choice up there it's ridiculous infinito.

Yeah, I think I'd rather put on my headphone, take a pretty walk, and ski a chute instead
