Surprisingly good weekend at KW. 6-8 inches of wet pow with a soft squishy base skied quite smoothly. It's almost May! Where's my Spring corn already?

Pretty nice if you have a Heave pass and want one more day of lift serve. Bet it was good today.

Thanks for the heads up, might just have to head over on Sunday to close out my lift served season.

I just wanted to share something amazing that happened to me... And since I'm hiding on Facebook this is the most vis I can get for this...

    Back Story:
Remember years ago when Jerry Seinfeld had the AmEx commercial where he would spend and everything would be perfect? Somewhere around 93-94 I believe. Well, in one of those commercials he pumped gas and the price came out something like an even $20.00 and the gallons pumped were something perfect also. Since then, which by the way was before I was even driving, every time I put the nozzle into the tank's orifice I would try and make the perfect pour. <- No shit! I would seriously look for the perfect pour and I have been doing it since that commercial. I have come close, but today I hit the nail on the head. I just went one more click on the filler and BOOM! PERFECT POUR!

    FEAST YOUR EYES ON THIS!

If the weather is nice this Saturday I will be at Squaw where I will happily sign autographs and take pictures for free, but no touching... Looking's free, touching is going to cost you!

You can get gas in Tahoe for $4.05 a gallon. That is a surprise.

    Free all around?

I saw that KW is offering a free ticket for showing a pass from any other resort, BTW.

Someone might want to queue up a few ambulances in SF... 666's post has just led to a second case of heart stabbing here and I'm suspecting a few more on the way as people log in from work....

SF to Alpine Meadows day trip this Wed/Thur/Fri - any rides out there?

Still have an Alpine comp from the fall ski movies to use up, and my knee surgery date is next week so gotta use it up this week. Anyone going up from SF for a day trip this Wed/Thurs/Fri and have room for one more urban ski bum to come along? Gas money to be contributed, coffee is on me, and tons of ski nerd chatter on the way if your down. Or I can shut up if thats what it takes for a ride.

Easter Sunday @ Sugarbowl was no joke. Snow was flowing immaculate, but it was a bit wet. Hardly any folks on the hill and plenty of freshness to be found. Sadly, I forgot extra gloves and had to quit around 1ish.

Post-Easter Monday @ Alpine Meadows was no joke. Ran into jla415 and we lapped the hell outta Gunner's Knob and scored some fresh and clean on a couple of mini-hikes up to Lower High Yellow (only Roundhouse was running and all the upper mountain was effectively closed).

Post-Easter Tuesday @ AM was full-on Vince Vaughn. Shared some hike-for-turns with jla415 again and the overnight storm had left plenty of refreshed goodness. They still haven't popped Scott Chair, so if it runs on the morrow, Post-Easter Wednesday will be DAF.

My sources suggested scott probably wouldn't spin tomorrow... Still debating my game plan for the morning.

    Damn the uber cam.

A few weeks ago I though, so what if I'm done, the season is done. Or so I began to fool myself. Then I thought about those days during and just after a light April snow. You know, that smoothness. Been then I was able to just pretend it was mank.

Then this uber cam bullshit. I can see the smoothness. Damn it all.

For anyone wanting, needing retro skis - msl(s) are totally up for grabs. bionics, PM me. Sounds like someone found the love on long boards.

Immaculate, I'm probably driving up Thursday (leaving Peninsula 8am), returning Saturday in time for dinner in San Mateo. May have spare room in cabin. PM if interested.

Wow, thankfully I didn't see the pics 666 posted until now. Now I only have to be pissed for the rest of the day, instead of all of it.

BGnight, hopefully you made it out there today.

Squaw was unbelievably tatsy today though I did not hit any of the runs 666 captured. I'm too much of a pussy ...........................not to mention it was just too good to hike.

Headwall face and North Bowl had midwinter windy chalk. We had a difficult time pulling ourselves away from the cushy 6-pack. We did finally make a few turns of off KT, oh my!!!!! It certainly did not ski like April 26th. Winds supposed to be up tomorrow and the weather goes warm next week. Need to make some sales calls in the Tahoe/Truckee region again Wednesday. Someone's gotta do it .

Between Rose and Squaw the past 4 days have offered up some mighty delicious far from Spring skiing.

The Sierra are delivering right now. Get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
