    Heal up quick.

Don't have any riding partners on Saturday and Sunday.

Will be at the wood, PM if you're solo or will let a straggler tag along.

Great day at Alpine, until I tried to ski the main spine-air in Castle out in Estelle Bowl and proceeded to beater through all of the rocks skier's right of the line. Mild concussion, broken helmet, bruised and scraped hip and shoulder. Hopefully get redemption on that one some time next week.

When keeping it gnar goes wrong...

Holy crap the past two days at Heavenly were ridiculous. Second track down Gondie line yesterday soon after it opened and then getting refills today. FB was untracked yesterday and today. Barely a soul either day. Mott opened today and I hucked some sweet cliff drops into a nice chute.. I don't know where all people are but the locals weren't at Heav the past two days! The consistency of the snow is perfect to snap massive ollies to the moon with an easy landing.

    No, it's not.

Alpine was fun today. The frush was a bit loopy after his crash. Anyone know how the hell 3 cars managed to drive off 80 on a pretty tame stretch and shut things down for an hour?

sleeper day at sugarbowl today; sucked

fyi: the rain(?) ice/crust was fully exposed at the funnel parts of the narrower gullies in the palisades....

Who did NOT let the dogs out? Not only was the upper mountain spectacular today with superb snow quality due to the cold night, Squaw was virtually empty and there was quite a bit of untracked even at 12:30 on Silverado and Broken Arrow.

Definitely one of my top 10 days at Squaw of all time and one of the best this year.

Yesterday I was at Rose and the Chutes went off at 1pm. But the whole day was great. This month is going strong!!!!

Squaw was excellent today. Not as empty as yesterday but still pretty uncrowded and untracked. Even at 3 there was so much wind I was getting "fresh" tracks every run down Headwall

Glad you had a helmet on, Früsh. Would have been nasty(ier) without it.

    Edit:

i concur deciblast. i dont remember the last time i had 3 completely untracked runs in mott on a deep bluebird pow day. there was only a small group of folks waiting for the upper gate to pop and everyone was casual when it did open so no chinese downhill today. i took 2 laps while a bunch of folks were waiting for the lower gate to open so u r spot-on that most of the crowd were not hip to how things swing. the mott liftline was ski on for the 1st 2 and the 3rd was only 5 min's. it looked like it was getting bad so i bailed back to barely hit raleys. we skied it yesterday w/ a skin assist in the am and it was good but the cold temps overnight made it even better today.

was up at the cp at daybreak before the resort sesh for a quick hike but we skied 2,500' of windboard. possibly the 1st time evvvvver that i had way better runs at the resort then i did at the cp dp.

another foot or 2 fri night for another reset on the way and snow everyday in the extended forecast.

damn frush! glad you made it out without any worse consequence. Don't be too quick to jump back into the game after a concussion!

Hope that concuss heals quick. I'll take a look at the weather and see if there's a day that looks worthy of scheduling off. Fuck I also have to move, again. We'll see. Definitely Sat/Sun though.

Nuthon; Tha FrUsH: Ay yi yi!

Well, all you can say is it could've been worse in both sitches, no? A full-on tib-fib could've been unrecoverable, N. And Freushamerslammer -- you needed some sense knocked into you, not out of you; but either way, change is probably good.

A., as you said to me some years back: Don't Die. Somewhat serious about that. And if you're gonna do it, fergodsake at least have the dignity to die at Squaw. Alpine! Sheesh! Amateur.

i was thinking maybe the Temple of Minor Apprehension. Heart looks good. The upper is definitely still not as spackled as everything else.

a bit of sky vomiting going on in East Bay right now ... too much Tanqueray and grapefruit juice perhaps? Unlike yesterday ... Saturday is hyped in the news. So I'll see you guys in the gongshow lineups magnana.
