Post Jong Alta Peruvian Lodge recommendation request?

I am heading to Utah for a long weekend in January and want to stay up at Alta. I am leaning toward staying at the Peruvian ..... would anyone like to recommend the Peruvian? In particular how is the bar and how are the meals? I remember reading a thread about the Peruvian on the other board but a search there did not render any results. Thanks and happy jonging.

My vote for on hill lodgings goes to the Peruvian. Great bar, sauna, pool, great food. Smoking hot hostess (don't wear your jammies to breakfast).

The Peruvian fucking rules - one of the great experiences in skiing!!!

Just take my word for it...it's the only place for me...always. They treat JONG's great, too.

    Heh.

Everyone loves P-dog until they have to make the 400-yard mad dash in ski boots to grab 50th chair after GMD & A-lodge employees/guests when interlodge lifts.

And if you think the guests at one lodge are treated any better than the guests at another, you've got another thing comin'.

Having stayed at the Peruvian, Alta Lodge, and the Rustler the P-Dog wins hands down. Unless you've been living with the guy from "Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous" the food at the P will be some of the best you've ever had. The pool and hot tub are way above the amenties at the other lodges. Rustler holds a slight lead in the category of room luxury. Overall guest vibe goes to the P in a landslide. Oh, and the bar, ummm I can't remember anything except the shotski. However there was the female employee wrestling that night at the Alta Lodge's bar, so maybe the bar thing is a tie.

Still, my vote will stay with the Peruvian.

Edit: Not that you could really make a bad choice among them.

the peruvian is cool, but 13 is right, after interlodge.. gmd is the only way to go. i tend to frequent both, and cant find a bad thing to say about either.. aside from the interlodge issue.

the p-dawg has the best bar and pool but sucks to try and skate to the lifts. a-lodge hooks their employees up the best so you may have less attitude there. but you really should be on the hill most of the time anyway. their bar (a-lodge) is second for fun. gmd has last call well before 11, but ruslter and p-dawg are a quick walk for later drinking. i'd say it comes down to what is more important to you. ski in/ski out or partying?

Thanks for all of the insight. Based on this information I have decided to book a room at the P-Dawg 1/20/05 through 1/25/05. It sounds like they are the most JONG friendly. If I book a room at the GMD or A-Lodge I will most likely jinx myself out of an inter-lodge situation. Here is to hoping that I have to slog through 400 yards of Alta's finest white smoke in order to get 50th chair.

Well played, Mr. K.! You will be a 'lifer'. Look for Matt, Ed, and co.

Why'd you have to tell him I am a JONG, Truth? I hope you have plenty of depends for AK '05.

For the record: ALodge kicked GMD's ass last year in the race for first chair after interlodges

Dave - you shoulda stuck around that night. Last call is usually just the beginning of the night in the Sitz...

A-lodgers have the advantage of being at the top of a groomed bunny hill when interlodge lifts.
