Just checking in. The last three weeks have been wild but especially the last week. In my new job surveying I've been all over the place and running in a big ass dodge 3500 dually with a cummins 5.9 liter turbo deisel with a 26 foot enclosed trailer with a couple of quads in the back. Last week we logged almost 3,000 km in the truck and close to 500 on the quads. First off was a three hour treck south of Calgary to Etzikom where we ran around in the praries with witht the RTK system (gps) which is incredibly fast. Then up to Slave Lake for a few days. Saturday we headed over to Grand Prarie and then headed 50 km into the bush to but in three pins and then loaded up and headed to Edmonton. Yesterday morning we went to Topher (by Camrose) and did another 3 pin job in a farmers field. And then back home last night for a couple of days off before I head back to Etzikom for a couple of days and then Grand Prarie for 2-3 weeks. Oh yeah I'm out of the summit too because I figure I'd better spend my one week home a month with my family instead of with you assholes. Later
edit to include wildlife seen: The biggest fucking mule deer buck I've ever seen, 3 moose (2 cows and a bull) in Slave Lake area. 7 carribou (4 cows and 3 young bulls) just out side of Grand Cache which is by the way possibly the most beautifull place I've ever been.
