Thumbs up Ski Movie "ah-MIG-dah-la" is a breath of fresh air, anyone else seen it?

I saw it the other night with a couple of friends and thought it was killer. Well worth putting it in your collection.

We talked about it later and came to the conclusion that it was the first time in a long time that we connected with a ski movie - totally tangible.

Anyone else had a chance to see it?

I'm lost... I thought positive feedback was a good thing? I guess I missed something.

Are there any shows in Seattle at all? I'd love to see the movie.

Maybe this is not a troll, maybe he is trying to give [ah-MIG-dah-la] props. But I'm just not feeling it. Seems to me like it's a jab at a thread way back on Pow site. Here a link, read through the whole thing and maybe you'll see what I'm feeling.

Anyways, Ta Ho if you're trying to give props, Thanks and sorry. But again, just not feeling the legitimacy of this thread and Ta Ho. Peace

Um, it seems pretty obvious to me he was saying the movie was good. I'm baffled by your reaction to his post.

edit: I followed the link and I still don't get your reaction. Nice move by that Caroline chick, though. And a funny line by roo at the end.

Wow, glad i am not the only one confused. I re-read both threads and the only thing i can think of is that Alka thinkgs ta-ho is feeding us some spam. it wasn't CBarnes again was it?

Anyways, for those of you who are curious, i am an unbiased reviewer, i own the movie, and love it.

    Immersion type feel.

very soulful, including the park scenes.

good b/c footage. (which i wish there was more of)

good mix of mellow and upbeat music.

    clean editing, nice editing.

It wasn't cbarnes again. I think alkasquawthing thought it was someone trying to mimic cbarnes efforts...making omen look bad and trying to stir up shit. I don't know who ta-ho is, but I do know that its no one from Omen. Anyway...lets just get back to stoke and enjoy the recent weather. Thanks LPH for the review-

Without a lengthy explanation I simply think the guy who started this was a troll. Or maybe it was the crack I smoked before posting...... Oh well.

Glad you guys are enjoying the movie, it really is a step away from the average ski porn.

saw it and loved it, very soulful and an absolute killer soundtrack imho, which makes me realize that sounds do matter in ski-movies. I also saw reality, which had way better cinematografy and more big-mountain skiing (and some very sick helmetcam footage), but just didn't really click because of the soundtrack.

Besides that, I think it's great to see the smaller companies stepping up and would recommend both.

Well - I finally got back to the board after a long hiatus and discovered that I started some unwanted controversy. No I am not a troll and I have no connection to Omen. I apologize Alkasquawlik for lighting your fire.

I was glad to see that others had the same response to this movie. It seems that I am not alone in enjoying it. Props to you Omen.
