Afaik surflines gives you actual tide in real time. On te free version, there is a graph with High and low indicted, but not a "enter the time frame you want". Does the pay version have that option?

^not exactly sure what you're looking for. NOAA tide predictions has always worked for me to determine the tide during a specific time frame. I've never used kookline, so I don't know how their product compares.

the free version does. http://www.surfline.com/surf-report/...lifornia_5030/ current tide section, click on "make a future tide prediction". enter date in the past. boom! it and camer'as the only thing I really used it for in years, but I'm not a core coloradan.

I got excited for a moment, as I don't looks around the site much. I've seen those type of graph predictions, and those are the best things going.

I want to punch in a date, and the time I think I want to surf from, until to, then get two numbers, and even better a graph.

For instance, at 26th Ave (I don't even need that small of a pinpoint. I'd be happy for just one SC), on August 20th, I'd need to be out of the water by 6PM, and the earliest I can get in is 4:30. So, on my phone, punch in the date, and get back that the tide is filling in from 3.xx' to 4.xx'. Would even be nice if it had tidal current data from a near by inlet.

It is all about doing less work, so I can focus on posting more here.

Will ya stop it. I already told you I'm not interested. Just leave me alone. I know this guy who is engaged to this lady lawyer, or at least the fantasy fits his need to feel like he ha a special worthiness to him, and she has got he ducks in a row, an if this stalking does not stop, I'll tell the mods about how I'm a victim and my FBI friend will be knocking on your door buddy. Just stop stalking me. I'm in no way interested. Damn man those chemicals must have really fucked with your brain.

Looks like some surf on the way for socal this weekend. Hopefully I will get to Trestles both days, as it should be good. It might be a good day for Middles.

I woul expect a very good day given the regional source of the swell. Tends to be much more consistent than something produced on the other side of the globe. Lookin forward to the next few days with the Lowell SSE and the long period SW showing up later. And fingers crossed, we could get a tropi sling shot swell or early next week.

This weekend should be fun. Unfortunately won't have a car to make it to points north (unless one of the SD mags wants to make a north county run?), so will have to make due with OB and the cliffs.

Caught some very nice surf last week in Brittany (La Torche) 7 - 9ft @ 10sec (or there abouts... cant find the exact numbers now). Very mellow break despite the height though.
Holy heck that was biggest surf I've ever seen, let alone surfed. And I caught a few awesome rides: nothing showy just super long.

A bit of a shit show so hit up a few smaller breaks along the coast. Alas we lost the waves quite quickly and had to do with waist high. When clean that was good fun also.
All in all, great family holidays!

So how is SoCal? Hitting pretty damn solid up here. Consistent sets. Chest to head high. Best sets well overhead. Long sets. Some onshore bump on it when I had my turn, but there were some fun fast waves. First one stood up solid, stretched me and slapped me down. Checked and rested the back and then found some fun ones. A few cover ups, but mostly the swell was just too big (or rather did not get the rest it needs in between waves and gets swamped) for the spot, so it got the warble wall going. Anyway, thinking some point might be the morning call.

Really fun swell to watch. Different than a typical south, or northwest, for that matter. When I rolled up today it reminded me of solid cane swell days in Maine.

some real fun this afternoon at the cliffs (2 dif spots, 2 dif sessions). sets around head high or a bit less down here, but pretty consistent. got a ton of fun ones, first on the 6'2" then the 9'0" after my arms were done and the tide came up. still glassy around 1 when I first went out, but second session at 6ish had a bit of a bump on it.

met up with a friend in bird rock (la jolla) this AM for breakfast and surf at the LJ reefs was consistent and well overhead. not really sure how much tide screws with things there but this was at high tide too. considering paddling out somewhere in LJ tomorrow but don't want to get my head chopped off by a local.

Yup. Down up here as well, but still fun. The shore scape here is not shaped by these swells, so you kind I have to know where to look around here. Found some fun rights. Missed the tide by a bit. Would have made for a more hollowed wave. A certain spot on my drive home way working. Really well. Noted for next time.

next week does look interesting. and those things seem to suck in the bad weather once the show in your region. socal should be in the window while that thing is still a major cyclone. hopefully it will eventually send a tropical wave across and up the state and deliver some much needed rain.

Yesterday was still fun, about stomach high up to head high on the biggest waves, and lesser and more mellow crowd. Had some fun but the reef I chose was pretty mushy. Needed more volume.

W/Th/F looking to get big at the good SSE spots. Hopefully that will filter into OB/SS cliffs?

Still some head high waves lurking around today, but farther and fewer in between. This next one is looking like it could have significantly longer period, more size, but way more steep. Wish I had the window to drive 70 minute. Something is likely to catch fire.
