Haha. Never got ur txt, but maybe I sent you the wrong number anyway. See, my phone took a swim in the ocean off of CT mid trip, so now I'm on the mrs when I can. I'll try another PM. No worries about the beer. Sure, I'll still drink it, but I've busted Tullys and have been bringing a can of Baxter IPA to the beach with me each day. Good stuff and looks like root beer.

Yeah, I would have thought I would have been at the river mouth Wed morning, but I never grabbed my buddies board and he was opting for high tide at Wellls that day due to life/work. Wed night looked good, but I opte to boogie board with my son and three nephews down the beach a ways. While it looked fun, my dream was way better. Maybe I've spent too much time out west.

Data signal here in O is about as bad as it gets. Seems to work for a few hours in the morning and that is all. I posted yesterday as my wife bought a few shirts in Kittery. Long Sands did look good on the Nubble side as I drove by. A buddy said te same for Wells Jetty. Might grab some today after we take junior to a Children's museum to avoid the rain. And Saturday looks fun. I also imagine that tropical storm will sen something just after I skip town.

Rog, try pinging that number I gave you again. I'll try a PM. Still a chance for hugs and waves. And I'll drink one of ur beers. Even more than one.

Hoping to get an evening sesh in tonight after work a little bit north of you guys. Haven't seen the water all week so i'm sure i'll be getting in regardless of how the waves are. It'd be nice to have enough size/power to take out the short board for the first time in a while though.

I need to make a very public apology. I texted the number of my dead phone. As soon as I corrected that I got a phone call. And beta. An offer of a board. Does not mean I won't continue to give him shit. I would not be true to my New England roots if I didn't. I mean, seriously, you call these waves? Pfffft.

I should be out in the water in a few hours. Can't wait.

Fucking junkshow....well at least down here. The wind has been doing its thing (ruining anything fun) and now there is some god damn rain, wtf . With the Open in town, every pro & wanna be pro is on every break from HB to Lowers, hows a kook supposed to catch waves...

Looks like it is game on for a high tide sesh in a bit. The boy fell asleep on the way home from the museum so mom says I'm good to go. Will try to get a board from Wells to Ogunquit to try the river mouth out in the morning. As long as i can escape an still get the fam on the road by 10. On to our final stop before heading back. Been a great trip so far and my little guy has held up quite well traveling through NYC, Beantown, Mystic an southern Maine.

Now about that phone that took a swim.

very fun session last night. stomach-HH, pretty consistent, and cleaned up as the night progressed. Only wish the sun stayed out yesterday!

Weather recently has been weird on the coast.

Rog, you have me goign to look at the york cam now. First thing I noticed, tide swings from -1 to 10 feet there?? woah!

I thought our almost 7 ft super moon tide was high here.

Fun morning at Terramar. Very low tide at 6:30 am and started to get really fun as it filled back in. Some slightly overhead sets had me smiling. Hadn't been in the water in about 4-5 weeks.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

    30 IN 90

a most excellent morning. the 1st 30 minutes from 530-6am were silly good. solid head high mid period groundswell with the tide just right. the next 2 hours were near as good with the sets still holding, but things were changing back and forth with the outgoing tide. zero complaints.

but man o man those 1st 30. hero. do anything ya want. perfect shape, no closing out, top to bottom rail to rail power surfing.

never made it up to the ogt as ott had texted me he had check out duty and i'm not really into leaving good surf to seek out good surf.

looks like more fun surf here and there through mid week. not too shabby to have a run like this in july, a run where hurricanes haven't even entered the picture yet. nice to be In shape for when they do.

maybe more tonight. the arms haven't fallen off, yet.

so much for the new mtb I just bought. well I did use it to check the surf early this am.

rode on down from the house (mostly downhill) and saw what looked like a pretty fun lil wave rolling in. but I knew it was very time sensitive due to the tide. rode home grabbed my 5'10 and suit and drove back, after calling some friends who were heading out as well. pulled up not 30 minutes later and was meh about the whole thing so I pulled an audible, blew off my peeps and headed ogt way. good call. got there about an hour before the tide would start becoming ideal, but that ensured empty parking spots and no other surfers. so I decided to suit up and go "sit on the corn" and let the tide do it's thing. peaceful hour sitting there, picking off a few waves long before the hoardes would start pulling up one after one after one..........

just 2 kids would join me for the 2 hours I was out. waist high sets with typical ogt zip were coming in frequently enough. and then it happened. all of a sudden about an hour before low the cars started coming. so I got one last super fun right and got the heck outta there.

fun morning. maybe back out this afternoon with my better half

I love the cars pulling through for a look see at the river mouth. So funny. Got in again at Wells yesterday and am about to head down again in few minutes. A bit windy yesterday, but it was fun to be out on a short board for the first time in ten years at my home break. Me thinks today will be more of a lb session.

Just looked at the long range for back west and things look good for my return. Have not seen much more than ten second periods in my visit here. Looking forward to some 18s juice. Been fun getting wet though and we've had at least a peak, and often a 3/4 mile stretch of beach all to ourselves.

Do wish I had got out in O when I was there. The seven mile drive south can take an hour some days, so it has been easier to just hit up the home break.

Which beach is Shark's Tooth? I've rarely seen lifeguards on any of those beaches. I imagine it was one of those guys in the pick up trucks, but that all seems a bit odd

Got in for another lb session with a few from the boyhood crew. Much better that we thought it looked. Fun rights into the jetty. Almost solid enough for a little board, but we got tons of waves. I caught over 25 things in my hour. Some of them real fun. Maybe will get more tomorrow. Been a decent mid summer week for Maine.

    buoy held

glassy waist high sets this am. shortboardable no problem as has been the case for days and days. peaky with a light fog that made viz kinda weird. great shape but pretty gutless given the slack winds. had it been blowing 10mph from land to sea i'da been freaking out . surfed right in front of the bath house with my gal and no others surfers for hundreds of yards in either direction. short sesh from 8-9. mornings are tough cuz she likes to sleep and i have no interest in it (sleep that is).

after 10+ days in a row (have lost track) and many many sessions i may take tomorrow off before an uptick and perfect winds/tide for Wednesday.
