    SWEET PIC PW^^^^^^^^

nuggets nuggets nuggets were on the menu this am York beach. figured the rain would help to keep conditions clean, and it did. the buoy was reading bigger than recent days with a good period for mini peaky a-frame fun with thigh+ sets rolling through. waves would just rise up steep at the peak and give you a nice lil shoulder to go rail to rail a bit to the quick inside section.

just me and a few jolly quebexicans out there this am. should stay fun all day with winds going more offshore.

tomorrow is still looking up. will be on it early. that's fer sure

Went out last night for 1.5 hrs to check the 3 at 15. Some pretty big waves actually that were moving pretty fast. Had a nice head high left, and a bunch of long rights to go with it.

Softball tonight, but thinking about getting out tomorrow AM before the swell disappears until later this week. Any of you SDiegans up for an early AM longboard session?

Got to experience my first full moon night session last night at Trestles and it was fucking insane. From 10:30pm-12:30am it was clear, super bright, glassy and overhead with one other human being in sight. The first wave was tricky, I really couldn’t tell where I was supposed to be but after a set or two things became evident and we fucking slayed it for 2 hrs. The rights were super bright and easy to see the line but the lefts were like surfing into a deep dark abyss, I still have smile on my face.

Just got back from a week on Kauai. I scored windswells on the north shore while everyone was on the South coast chasing a big South. Surfed Hanalei one afternoon...alone. Good little trip.

Good weekend of head high, give or take. What happened to the sun? Foggy all weekend.

Good waves even if the tide was a little high for the Beach Casa all weekend with the low low in the middle of the night... Feelin lucky to be able to surf with just my old man and wife in So. Cal. on our own waves

Oh nice! I was just watching Point Break again yesterday, remember that one scene, surfing in the dark?

I remember how fine it was here last fall. I might stay as long as possible because late fall in the high country is pretty dismal really, waiting for snow. Nothing really good ever happens before Dec.

fuck I needed that. this morning was downright perfect. up at 430am. out the door and pull up to the rivermouth at 5am. took a walk up the way to get a better look through the fog. couldn't see much, but I could hear what I needed to know. grabbed the 5'10" and was catching my 1st wave at 530. total sleeper morning. waist with chest high sets, some bigger, perfectly clean and plenty of power. the rights were peeling so nice, and a few lefts were coming through nicely as well. had a whole hour to myself till a few friends showed up and that was it till I got out at 730. so refreshing to be back on the shortboard again.

heard nh was a fair bit smaller. no surprise given the swell angle.

maybe an evening sesh after work

was supposed to work 10-6, but with the surf as good as it was this morning I decided to just work till 2 so that I could get back to "work"

fucking beautiful surf this afternoon at the end of a dirt road a mile from my house. waist/chest and as clean as clean gets. sat right out front of the restaurant for an hour tll a coupla paddlecheaterboarders decided it looked to good to pass up, where I was sitting. smart choice. hero rail to rail surfing, ez. outta the water at 515 craving beer and burritos, oh and more firewood duty. a little bit every day so mama stays warm come fall.

looks like more swell for the coming days with Saturday looking best.

Decent rest day. Someone was at the rivermouth this morning tryin to make something out of the be wind slop while I took pics of birds. Thought it was rog.

Wells high tide surf was plenty of fun yesterday. Had the longboards but could of made use of a short board for sure. Non stop waves. Maine works the 3.8@8 pretty well. Fun to be back home and getting water time with a boyhood friend. And still rulin the home break. Ha. Another buddy gets up to the beach today.

Saturday we may have four of the original Six Pack Crew in the water together with cold ones waiting on the beach.

Starting to wonder if rog is for real tho. Have not heard from him since crossing the state line. Mmmmm. Maybe he really is just four feet tall.

San O lats night not that great for San O. Basically just some windchop lines, and the water was COLD. Like 5 degrees colder than a couple days before. Forgot my wetsuit and was not happy about that. Still some real fun waves, but nothing like the 100-200 yard rights that seem pretty usual there.

fun short sesh from 7-8pm tonight in York. waist/chest with some texture, but really fun on the longboard as the waves were a fair bit softer than yesterday.

and since ott ain't replying, the case of IPA went to good use

    ah well, can't say I didn't try......

    gonna be a good weekend

Haha, I would not be getting in the water. But I guess that'll make you tough. I love my wetsuit so much. 4/3 all summer in San Diego - just toasty

...watching the rog, ott saga with bated breath. Will there be pics? Hugging it out?

heh, I sent the text with my # and address to grab the beer or meet up for it and a surf. heard no word, still.

anywho, been loving my 4/3 as well. headed over to the north end of York beach in a few minutes to play for a coupla hours. i'd imagine where ott is the winds will be decent, but maybe less of the ne swell getting in. tough to tell tho as things have been changing around some.

    mmmmmm, coffee
