So wait, that's 1 wave every 3 minutes? I'm not worthy

That board is poly. I guess I did have some epoxy I could have used with the filler, didn't think of that.

Just logged it. Waist high, super clean and fun. If you guys get some 8' @ 15 with offshores then I'm packing my board and driving up the coast.

short period aframes peaking all along the beach makes for what i call ultra aerobic surfing. no paddlebacks. take a right for 50-100 yrds, paddle straight out quickly, take a left right back to where you were and just keep working it like that. never paddle out for more than 20-30 seconds before grabbing another wave. helps when yer the only one out, which happens more often than not in maine.

november with surf, plenty of it. crowds don't show up till january love january.

7ft @ 7 seconds now with a more direct angle should double the size where i had a ball this am.

will be back on it between 8-11am. air temps should be in the 20's. will make the water feel toasty

We have 9@15 this weekend, but NW winds. Not to worry, there's a spot nearby that will be overhead tube city. Lemme know if you come up.

Yeah, some don't get it. But once you catch a legitimate eight to ten footer that reels for several hundred yards, most do.

No waves in Oklahoma City, I checked. Two epoxy surfboards (twin fish) though in the pool area of my hotel...weird.

Looks like the WC will get some waves just as I return home, I just hope the rain holds off...that would keep me out of the water for a week or so (we still havent had our first rain).

    well, ballyhoo cool guy

north end of longsands had the wind protection and waist/chest+ consistent a-frames coming in. some longer period waves were coming through as well. really fun morning surfing with the same guy as yesterday. tomorrow the winds go nw/w so everywhere nh/me should be just wonderful. size should be between waist-head, and continue as such through the middle of next week.

    lovin it!

I've been watching the south OB cam past few weeks and that place has had some good days, perfect overhead and glassy. I'm waiting on a board that would be good for those kinda conditions. I always talk about driving the coast but never end up doing it, I'm pretty sure it will happen some day

^^^^If you come through town, and need a place to crash, give a jingle. We often have a spare room.

BTW, I'll be down in your neck of the woods again in April (or so it looks). Depending on the winter, I'll be hitting up the tram or T again. Or points north. Still would love to check out Baldy.

rog - I think you have me mistaken. I'm not that cool. I just know that I don't mind waiting for certain types of waves. While I do enjoy a good, consistent, beach break day, sometimes the wait is worth it.

To be honest, some of the best sessions for me is one where I keep on moving. Don't really mind if a good portion of the movement is paddling back out.

OTOH, I have surfed days where there is absolutely no waves for 20-30 minutes, but then the 4.5@20 comes in, and it is just me and my buddy on a long left racing slab like Blackhole. And those days are epic, as long as i have the time to sit an wait.

Yeah, that OB cam has looked really good, but it's small and weak as shit. Amazing how many people surf the beach when it's gutless. This weather won't be here Saturday night. However, there are places to handle it. Maybe a few nights with OTT, and a few nights at my place?

Appreciate the hookup guys! It's kinda changed and a buddy is hitting me up to score some snow this weekend. Although Sunday's surf forecast up there also looks pretty damn good. Constant struggle between my surf and snow addiction.

April sounds fun, hopefully we have more snow this year. My grandparents are staying directly across from the tram in Feb/March, so I'm sure I'll check it out. Will let you know if it's holding any snow this season. I also renewed my pass to baldy so I'm down for that too.

This storm is staying too iffy right now for my liking. Wish it would just dump and make the decision easy.

Dude. This is the surf forum. Get it straight. .

My general rule is buried somewhere else, but it Is sort of like this. Go for the rarer treat. So, unless the surf by you looks like it is going to be solid head high and clean, go for the snow. There is already some up there and pretty sure Sunday will be a storm day. Sounds worth it to me.

Of course, I am assuming gondi 2 is open. If it ain't, then a tour could be worthy.

I also believe in getting your mountain legs back early and your elevation lungs pumped.

About as flat and poor as can be here. Walked out by the Lane this morning to a very high tide, strong south winds and almost no swell at all. It actually just looked like a wind chopped sea. Horrible. Which is perfect, as I am flying solo with the boy for a few days. I am sure this incoming swell will be decent in spots, but so happy we have the storm on top of us. If it was like the days I missed during that beautiful weather 10 days ago, I would be so bummed. Glad to hear ME is dishing it out.

ya ott we seem to be on a roll here. sept was almost every day, october was filled with swell, and november has been like at least 10 out of 16 days with at least 7 more days in a row coming. shit maybe 65-70 sessions on the new kechele since late august. board ain't new anymore, will probably be cooked in 6 months like all the others........

    have a good weekend

i jinxed it. best buoy/wind forecast yet this swell, but it looked/surfed the worst. plenty o size, but there must been full on gang warfare between opposing swells and winds offshore. yuck.

still got some exercise tho. thrustered up the 5'8 for the 1st time in a while. some fun drops reminded me how much of a different animal that board is set up that way. like adding a big wave board to the one board quiver with just fin swap.

off to work, hope you left coasters get some soon!
