While I have yet to watch it, there is crazy mad buzz on The Haunting of Hill House...
Yeah, I posted a strong recommend here after only watching the first five episodes. The first half of the season is really good. I felt the mostly same about episodes 6-9 even though they aren't the equal of the first five eps. After watching the last episode, I had to delete my recommend.
This show doesn't just fail to stick the landing, it breaks both its ankles.
BBC smash hit Bodyguard now on netflix.
Not sure why it was so popular at 2.5 epsiodes in. The lead character is somewhat overacted by the guy from Game of Thrones.
But it's not bad if that British style of TV show is your thing.

Speaking of BBC on Netflix - been watching Father Brown. Good stuff, if you're into British murder mysteries.
The Night Comes for Us. It's an Indonesian Netflix original that was just released. Holy shit it's awesome.
Definitely one the goriest most violent martial arts movies I've ever seen.

Adam Sandler’s 100% Fresh is funny as fuck.
House Of Cards available today. Robin Wright: from Princess Buttercup to POTUS...From virtue to vicious. Who woulda thunk

If you are a cinephile then you probably already know that Orson Welles' final film, THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WIND, debuted on Netflix last night.
However, my movie critic friends say that the film is literally "buried" on the site and that you have to manually search for it.
Looks great; just promise me they don't sneak George Clooney in there and I'm all in.
Bacon tastes good. Pork chops taste goood.

Just finished the final season of House Of Cards. Was it good? Pretty good. Does it miss Kevin Spacey? For sure. Robyn Wright tries to take on the same sinister and warped character previously portrayed by Spacey. She adds a very feminist twist. I think that she succeeds, but I missed Kevin Spacey. It's almost like Keven Spacey taught her everything she knows, but not everything he knew.

Probably mentioned before, but I am digging The Last Kingdom. Season three is released on 11/19, and I want to be caught up by then

Just watched Ballad of Buster Scruggs.
Really not what I expected but couldn't stop watching, wondering, or slightly dreading just how far the Coen brothers were going to take each story. A heavier movie than I was expecting.
The Rolling Stone review is pretty spot on.
I was expecting a mash of blazing saddles, the three amigos, and a million ways to die in the West with darker comedy films like raising Arizona, oh brother where Art thou, fargo, the hateful eight, etc.
It started out that way, but got a bit more serious/dark than I anticipated. More "frontier fatalism" (per Rolling Stone) than I anticipated.
The unconnected vignette structure reminded me of tales from the crypt, particularly during the "meal ticket" chapter.
