Does America Need More Hitler Humor?
Netflix will soon be streaming Look Who’s Back—a German satire that imagines the Führer as a YouTube star.
just ran through Mad Dogs on Amazon, pretty good shit. Little weird which always works for me
Watched "Valhalla Rising" last night. Moody, atmospheric film about some Norsemen in 1000AD. I won't give away the plot, it's worth watching it unfold. Filled with deep imagery and symbolism; very much in the vein of Bergman's best work (Seventh Seal comes to mind.). Mads Mikkelsen is his usual stoic self, perfectly cast here.
It's a slow burner, highly recommended.
Indeed. It Really managed to humanize every aspect of the drug/smuggling trade; From the Arizona border recon guys, that i may have discredited as gun toting bigots to the many Mexican town people threatened and murdered by lawless cartel, even the meth producing cartel guys were honest about the damage they inflict, but ultimately resigned to their criminal behaviour.
Watching 'heavy water wars' now. Digging it a lot. Highly recommend it.
Ps. There's ski action in it!

Warriors - absolute classic
Sense8 - interesting at first then much too soap opera and plot line never really expands
Taking of tiger mountain - very entertaining and great ski scenes
Le Chef - very funny
Dope - not intriguing based upon Netflix short description but turned out to be hysterically funny yet still providing a dark look into the ghetto of LA

The Barkley Marathons: The Race That Eats Its Young A race that only 10 people have finished in 25 years. Half of the race is ran on unmarked trails. Total vertical climb is 54,600 and you have 60 hours to finish it. I've no desire to run a marathon or even a 10k, but was up til almost 2am finishing this movie. Best documentary I've seen in awhile, I didn't think endurance races could be entertaining
Just watched that, gc323. Crazy race!
Longmire
Daredevil is great.
"The Hunt" - excellent movie about false accusations and hysteria, and how they can spiral out of control.
Double post..
The Ranch.
I posted in the other thread, but thought it worthy enough for this one
Basically an R rated version of the 70's show.
We watched it straight through. I thought it was really good.
just finished Jessica Jones. I liked it a lot, more than Daredevil (though I liked that too).
Next up: Better Call Saul.

"everybody's got their hooks into you, fuck em....forge on motherfuckers, drag all those bitches across the goal line with you." - (not so) ill-advised strategy
Archer season 6 is finally streaming! First two episodes: eh. Third episode, however, has Archer & crew in something like the Alps, and (slight spoiler, though of course this was going to happen)...
Archer is in an avalanche. Which is AWESOME because being in an avalanche was on his bucket list.
^^awesome. Thanks for the heads up.
