Chubb vs. Fat Bastard vs. Explosiv

Am considering between these two and the Explosiv.

I am leaning towards the FB or Chubb due to turn radius @ 21m vs about 30 for the explosiv. This is probably going to be my first full-on season in the land of powder (well, besides one or two weeks a year for vacation) as I will be spending the season in the Alps. I am looking forward to a ski that will perform well on the groomers as well as the steep & deep.

    What's your take?

I'm surprised nobody jumped on this yet...SEARCH and ye shall find.

Also, think awhile about your comment concerning turn radius and powder skis...think, think!

BTW, I foresee a "JONG"-ing in your near future...

    JONG-O-RAMA

I'm sick of these threads without enough info.

Don't buy Volant unless they're Spatulas!

Explosiv is an agressive ski. It won't carve nearly as well as the volants on the hardpack due to having less sidecut (which is beneficial in powder).

FB is more akin to the explosive in that it is agressive and stiff.

Chubb is a less demanding more forgiving ski than the FB or Explosive which would much rather go mach stupid than make slower turns.

All of these will be great for chomping crud.
