if you don't spend 90% of the time tuning your own skis you should be able to get it done.

Not to rain on anything... but all the feedback i have heard indicates that it was quite dissapointing as a film. Worst UPP film yet. I think I will be waiting until it is on RSN every night.

I'm a little biased, because I helped make Soul Slide with Bones, but I personally think the Lost Season is the best one Bones has done--you just have to appreciate it for what it is. It's not supposed to be amp you up ski porn, and if you want that, look elsewhere. The people that I've talked to that didn't like it got bored with stories. They wanted to see a skiing music video, like pretty much everything else out there (with the exception of a few classics).

Not to compare it to Sinners in final form, but the idea behind it was the same. Bones did all the filming for this without sponsors or budget, so he made the film he finally wanted to make. Because of that, it doesn't have ridiculous heliskiing footage, or exotic locations. Most of it was shot in Tahoe with the skiers he's closest to, following the stories and skiing of six athletes around the Sierra and on one culminating trip to Italy (which did produce some sweet bigger lines). Neither the skiers nor the filming disappointed me though. Those guys went off, even if it was their own back yard.

It's sort of like the heart behind Sinners with the idea behind Immersion, all for freeheel. But that's just me.

If the trailer is any indication, it should be good...then again, I could watch people skiing pow in slow-mo for hours. I would be there if I didn't have to finish some side projects tonight.

They should go watch more Warren Miller movies.
Although I'm sure his commentary bored them too.
Sounds like they need to switch to snowboarding.

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature... Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. -Helen Keller

It's funny, the first thing I thought of when I saw the trailer was Sinners. This looks like it's gonna be a great film.

The last UP film showed here in Montreal and I was wondering if anyone knew if there is anything in the works to bring Lost Season up here. I would really love to see it on a big screen.
