    Which Oakleys?

Here is the deal, I can get any Oakley goggle I want at cost, if you were in my position which frame/lens combination would you pick. Also, I'm unaware of how important the various lenses are for different light conditions, but if it matters the majority of my skiing will be done in Colorado....thanks for any advice.

A frames or Wisdoms definetly, try them both on, see which you like better. As for lens color, if you ski a lot and only want one pair of goggles, amber and rose are the most versatile. If you ski a lot and can afford two pair, get a pair of yellow or light rose for storm days, and a pair of iridiums for bluebird days.

brown/grey lenses for bright conditions, yellow lenses for soupy days, rose lenses are a nice compromise.

As for frames, just make sure there's as much pink on them as possible.

We've got a few pair of these limited edition Von Zipper goggles, you'd love 'em. They gave some artist types 100 all white goggles and let them go to town and then sent them back to the factory to package them up. Somehow the pairs we got ended up entirely covered with different colors of pink spraypaint. And not "pink is punk"...

Prefer the Wisdoms over the A-Frame. Use Persimmon Iridium, very versatile in most types of light. Don't get the standard persimmon, unless you only want it for flatter light.

Thanks for all the quick responses guys, I really appreciate them. I intend to be out in all conditions, so it looks like my best bet is to go with two lenses, some iridium variation for blue bird, or a yellow or blue for storm/low light?

AltaPowderDaze - I wouldn't mind selling a couple pairs, but it is through a friends employer that I can get them which makes it kind of difficult, if it is possible tho then no problem....i"ll let you know.

Iridium isn't just for bright light. I have hi-intensity yellow iridium's for low light light and they are bomber.

Sorry, I guess I was generalizing because most of the iridium lenses are dark, though like Ski Monkey said, not all of them. Iridium generally helps light blocking and improves definition. Oh, and for what it's worth, iridium and other coated lenses are more prone to scratching.

I would say that abusing your buddy's employee purchase is not cool. I bet you'd feel pretty good if he got caught and lost his job, eh?

I hated the Widoms. They just didn't fit me at ALL. They always were slipping down my nose. They also didn't interface with my helmet for shit. I expected way better out of an expensive goggle. I've got a big-ass head, tho'

Seems the A-Frame has a bit better rep for fit, so if you have to go Oakley, that's where I would look.

(Of course, I won't wear Oakleys ever again, so what do I know?)

Maybe you should try them on and see which frame fits best with your face/helmet?

Changing lenses out for different weather conditions kind of sucks, especially when the lenses are pretty, but scratch prone, like the Iridiums.

Alright, seems I was a bit confused on the iridium, thanks for clearing it up. As far as my friends employer, it would not be any secret...the employer is ok with it, but I just don't think the employer would be ok with selling this to a random person rather than someones good friend. I appreciate the assumption that I intend on jeopardizing a friend's employment tho

yeah, the HI blues (actually yellow colored) are awesome for low/flat light. I can pick out bumps on even the worst days out here in the east. As for bright days, I use Persimmon O or A frames (got a wicked deal on A frames, so I had to pick em up). I prefer the wisdoms for field of vision, but all of em are pretty good.
